Watch Out For The Paypal Invoice Scam

This is an old scam but it seems it's making a comeback. The scammer will send you an invoice for the amount of money you agreed to. It will appear in your transactions and it can be mistaken for incoming money. How to tell if it's a scam? Look at your overall balance and if that did not change then it's a scam.

Most of you already know this scam but for those who don't please watch out for it.

Can we please make this a sticky. This is getting more and more common. A friend of mine, here on sythe, got scammed for a huge amount of coins worth hundreds of dollars.

I contacted the scammer just so I could expose him and get him banned, and he walked right into my little trap for him.

Please folks let's be more careful and not allow the scammers to win. If it sounds suspicious then it probably is.

I just spent the last hour on the phone with paypal, they asked me if I ever get any more fake invoices like this that I should report them. Can you please contact paypal and report this email account.
