I think it's the world we live in. We've progressed from using forums as a way to communicate to more instant messaging, such as discord. It's just like the difference between mailing letters, emailing, to text messaging. It's just the way of life. Also, the majority of people I believe that were on this site from the beginning have grown up, created lives for themselves and frankly are probably too busy to be spending countless hours on this site as they once did. I know the latter is true on my end.
