Link the current Sythe account: @Gladiator

Which violation you are reporting the user for: Misusing his moderation status to leverage a user into being misinformed in turn scamming him ;

Superfluous i'm not including in the report because I believe he just made an incorrect decision without properly reading the thread and having trust in a global moderator.

Note the literal definition of scam does not include a monetary / financial loss, it's deception which is prominent to a heavy extent here, therefore i'm not attempting to slander Gladiator in that aspect.

Why you think they're violating Sythe rules: Howjow2

• First point, Gladiator never had the user agree to a ToS (at least he did not provide this part of the conversation in case i'm mistaken). The user never explicilty stated he is ready, to purchase the membership etc.

• Second point, Gladiator is misleading the user into the true rate of gold, and claiming a website that severely undercuts everyone is a rate to go by. If alch was buying for 0.215$/m does that mean the user would have to pay 183m because they have bad rates?

• Third point, Gladiator is misrepresenting the cost of membership, the user is well aware the price of bonds is 5m each, 4 accounts with 2 bonds each equals 40m, not 85m? ; I would personally block gladiator and report him for attempted deception. He is evidently playing into the fact the user is clueless and new to sythe to take advantage of him ; as-well as the user being in fear that the moderator is always right.

• Fourth point, Gladiator lost nothing, the accounts are still there, they can still be put to use and trained on. The equivelent of this, is me calling my mechanic at 9:00am, requesting an oil change, him telling me okay. Proceeding to refuel my car with 100$ worth of gas, then recieving a call at 9:15am being informed that he needs to reschedule because his wife went into labour. I incurred no financial loss, therefore what exactly what legal right do I have to make a report? Also I never signed a contract, or had an explicit written confirmation.

• Fifth point, choosing to pay with credit card has reasonable suspicion that the cards were fraudulant (imagine paying 22m/account which you have to pay tax on) in comparison to paying 10m/account which is untaxed, potential suspicion for blackhat is not a wild stretch to claim ; Also not taking into account being able to use Russian steam accounts, buy steam skins @ 60% market value, sell them, and buy membership on the client. In turn paying [(269 roubles * 0.6) / 0.85] = 1.85£ since that is unreasonable to ask for.

• Sixth point, buying membership, overpaying over 200% raises an alarm for me personally. Why would somebody selling accounts require or want this? It gives me the full recovery information, and ability to recover the account with ease in future. See the situation that occured with Azie who held an even higher position. ; Not necessarily accusing him of this, it could be simply Gladiator being a good seller who values his customers and does it for potential future assistance for them if required with the account.

If any instances of slander do exist here, please do act accordingly. None of it is intentional, and I have no ill-intention, or anything personal against the user. I simply hope to resolve a potential situation that nobody else will care to.

I'd appreciate if this report could be handled by any Administrator to minimise potential bias, as-well as a more experienced decision could be made.

The amount owed was $39.11, @Howjow2 wanted to pay back 80m himself (which was valuing gold at 0.49/m - more than anyone was selling for at the time, asking for 5m extra so the rate was 0.46/m hardly seems like "severely undercutting/misleading a price - it was a truer reflection of gold prices at the time, staff can look into this themselves

Wrong again, I created these accounts, prepared them for him, made them member (at an expensive rate by card), only to be told that the order we agreed to couldn't be complete. I have a job, I don't have time to level up four accounts - I've lost both time and the membership that is currently going to waste.

You clearly have no idea about account security when it comes to recoveries. Paying by card is one of the safest and best methods to ensure that accounts aren't recovered in the future by the people training on them - it's something a lot of account creators do, it's an added layer of security.

What an absolutely daft comment, as an Original Owner, I want to make sure I am able to recover the account in the future if anything goes wrong. Do you know how silly I would look being the OO of an account and failing to recover an account because it was locked? The likes of people like you who enjoying accusing/slandering others would have a field day if that was to ever occur

Last but not least, @Howjow2 deleted me from Discord, and left both Sythe Discord servers - if he wasn't at fault or did nothing wrong, why do such a thing?

I'm yet to see an explicit ToS being laid out, and him agreeing to it.

At the very minimum the report should not be worth anything other than 4 x 30 days of membership which is equivelent to 8 bonds = 40m. You still have the accounts for future, and I can guarantee you will use them eventually. If you overpay for something, thats on you <= Scenario is similar to how sythe staff rules that accounts that recieved 2 day bans don't require full payment for the account as they are still usable ; or same thing for ironmen with lost items.

Also I did mention i'm simply pointing out potential relevant information, i'm not attempting to slander you, or accuse you of anything. I simply don't agree with the ruling, and i've contacted super directly to avoid making a report, but his mind was more or less set so I made the report. No need to get hostile and attempt to make me out in a bad light for trying to clarify a situation.

Basing it off what he said to you on discord, I don't see a timeframe outlined, he has an infinite time period to complete the service, so he hasn't scammed you yet has he? (Similar ruling is where I'm allowed to send 1sat payment if not explicitly mentioned and have it pending confirmation for weeks)

It can be suggested that the way he phrases it, is that upon starting of the service, any additional membership required would be covered by him. Interpretation is extremely subjective, hence why the ToS rule was introduced i'm assuming. Would definitely help to see the full conversation in the case that I am mistaken (obviously hidden is adequate as i'm sure sensitive information is included within)

As for my terms used, you take them too literally. Interpretation of words can differt. the user is new to the website in regards to lack of activity / posts. He has 40posts, majority being vouches for gold selling websites.

 

Gladiator is in the right to report him for the unfinished work, the worker agreed he would reimburse. The amount owed is £27.96 or $38.86, if they are able to settle in OSRS GP they can do that as well - if a GP rate cannot be agreed to, the default will be USD.
