    3D Modeling Attempt..

    I'm pretty much brand new to 3D Modeling... Aside from the occasional text and small phats I've made in Blender, I've never done anything impressive.

    I decided to sit down for about 10 hours straight and try to create a work of art.. So here it is, my first ever 3D "scene" created in Blender.

    Tell me watcha think! :D

    3D Modeling Attempt..

    I dont use blender but I read that its not easy to use and can be long . Thats a really great job for a first attempt in blender man. However I dont like the second screenshot :p the first and third are your best ones

    This seems like it was done really well. I dont know the specifics about 3d modeling but this looks aesthetically pleasing.

    It's not bad, but you need to learn UV mapping. The last picture shows super unattractive default mapping

    The model is not bad, though you've sacrificed low poly in the pump for a bit of unnecessary detail without even smoothing it. You should try to reduce the poly count, OR go all the way and turbosmooth it, or just apply some mesh smoothing groups at least. The mesh surface triangulation is neither realistic enough, nor abstractly appealing

    Thank you very much guys! :)

    @MohtasaUnique, I wish I had any idea how to use UV Mapping, that was my problem the entire time. The main reason the barrel is just a default chrome color instead of materialed is because of the material looking like crap, just like the buttstock.. Can't seem to figure it out! :p

    Nicely done :) You may be able to make the render anti-alias a bit better, but im unfamiliar with blender so I cant give you any tips.

    Im curious why there are so many polygons for the pump. Im not saying it looks bad im just curious. I imagine you could make a cylinder and boolean the divots out - just a sugguestion.

    Shells look good. Could maybe add more divisions so they are rounder.

    For the handle of the gun, I notice the texture is stretched on the bottom. idk how you'd fix it in blender but in C4D switching to ...I think its called "cubic mapping" fixes that.

    You may be able to switch over the file from blender to c4d if you plan on switching. Lightwave 3D is another option.
