Guitar Hero

Personally I like the game, though it's ruining true guitarists. Like 5 of my friends got really good at that game and thought they could play guitar, so they bought a stupid starter kit and now call themselves guitarists and act like they're so great. Any real guitarist can tell you that pushing plastic buttons is nothing like a real guitar. I was jsut wondering if anyone felt this way too.

 

yea..its a good game but ppl think they are great at guitar but they suck because there good at gutiar hero

 

I played guitar her and good VERY good at it. (I can finally beat yyz in medium!) now i am taking guitar lessons. woot woot

 

honestly, im in the same situation where my freinds are good at guitar hero. they cant play guitar for their lives. im playing my ibanez right now and i really hate that game, i think its stupid and it just makes people think they can play a real guitar...Pushing a button is nothing like stringing a string for the first time, your fingers dont hurt the first time it happens and moving your fingers into 5 different"frets/buttons" is nothing like doing it on a guitar. my ibanez has 23 frets, compared to 5 buttons on guitar hero.

 

I dont think anyone I know says they can play guitar because of the game. I could see how some people could get an ego from it, but that would be kinda sad.

 

Ya, but a lot of people i know also go out and buy a guitar after playing guitar hero because they think they can play it really good when they really can't.

Also it's nice to see some people feel the way i do.

 

I feel the exact same way.

I play real guitar, and have ghIII. I bought my guitar way even before I even had gh. I've heard, and agreed that the game only needs your eye-hand coordination; You see a red button on the screen. You hit the red button and 'strum'.

Personally, I like the game, only for fun. I like listening to it as I play.

I advise you to tell your friends that they are nothing but eye-hand experts, supposedly, and newbs at guitar. If they won't listen, trust me, there be a time where they will be expected to do something cool like a solo from a metal song. You will, then laugh. }

 

I liked guitar hero a lot and I started taking guitar lessons. lol give me 5 yrs and i will become a real guitar hero!

 

Anyone that thinks they can play guitar only based on the fact that they are good at guitar hero is a fool.

I played bass for like 4 years, then got guitar hero. I'd say I'm pretty good at guitar hero. I've beaten career on expert on all the games. Working on getting 5* on every song. Can't seem to get it on Raining Blood or One though

 

I suck balls at Guitar Hero.

 

Guitar Hero is good for teaching hand-eye coordination, getting your hands moving at different speeds and getting people interested in guitar.

It does not however make you by any means good at real guitar.

So Im pretty Good at guitar hero and i can tell you first hand im horrible at real guitar. Anyone who says other wise is tarded

 

As far as I can tell, there is a negative correlation between playing GH and playing the real guitar. I was once fairly decent at playing the guitar and had never heard of the game. Then, a few months later I got the game...

Now I suck at guitar. It's fun but don't let it take away from your normal practice time of guitar or you will suck.

Most boring game ever imo. Pushing buttons randomly is incredibly pointless, i'd rather play my real guitar as it's more satisfying.

 

Guitar Hero=Love

I play it like 24 hours a day.

 

I don't really know anybody who thinks they are hot-shit because they are good at Guitar Hero. And I don't understand why you guys bag on it? I don't play real Guitar...lol because I can't, but I find Guitar Hero to be a really fun game, and allows people who don't play Guitar to get sort of a beginners feel for how it's done, including learning the lingo and the bitter basics (like strumming a guitar is what makes the noise; I'm not saying how to play guitar, just the basics of playing guitar)
