    Hello

I attempted suicide back in 2016. Since then I've been diagnosed with bipolar disorder type 2, and have been going to countless therapy sessions and groups. Life kind of sucks but I'm hanging in there. Anyone else bipolar?

    Hello

Clearing throat- shoulder, neck, and torso jerks. Toe curling and leg flexing. Eye twitching and some more. I don't swear or yell out randomly like some. And mine are pretty mild, yet noticeable.

    Hello

About the same age as me, I know how you feel. I also have mild tourettes (neck jerk, body jerk, when I was young I used to grunt and sniff out through my nose). The most annoying thing is when people ask you why you are doing it or to just stop like we can (when people call us out on it, it only makes it worse because it's on our mind now). For me my tourettes was at my worst when I cared what people thought. I skipped 90% of my classes in university because I was scared of what people thought behind me in class if they would see my head tic. When you get anxiety and you start getting excited and your heart rate is going up, that's when the tics really start coming. If you can surround yourself with people that don't put you down for it and see past it, it really helps. It's all about being comfortable. Who cares what strangers think if you got people in your corner?

    Hello

Wow no way. Idk about yourself but I kind of taught myself to hold it in until (I think) people aren't looking. Like a premonitory urge, like blinking. You can only hold it in so long until you finally have to blink, or tic in our case. There's been a plethora of events and milestones that have been pushed to the side or skipped in general because of the condition and the anxiety that arises from it. I know the pain man. I'm slowly trying to learn that strangers' opinions do not matter. My girlfriend for example, doesn't mind that I have tourette's syndrome. However, I think she slightly does, especially when we try to cuddle and what not and I struggle staying still.

    Hello

For me if I focus on it to the point where I am trying to hold it in, it will most likely come out twice as hard haha. Probably because when you hold it in the anxiety of "when can I do it" will cause your heart rate to go up. For me public transportation is rouuuugh. I hate being in a packed bus in case I have to sit directly across from someone. Have you ever started working out? When I got to university even though I skipped most of my classes, for some reason I found peace and a lot of friends in the gym. I was a lot happier when I was working out. Give them something else to stare at ;)
