Been pretty active in the FC myself, pretty chill guys in there already. We hit over 80/100 people in it today!

While the layout is fine to see I don't think I'd be necessary to have one for threads like these. Best of luck in the FC. I'll probably be never or rarely on it.

I agree that it's not indeed really necessary, however we thought gfxing it would make the thread "more official" if I can use that expression and it would also be catchier for the eyes of the community rather than a plain thread.

Yes, there are people from RS3 in it and the FC is for both communities.

Great work @Zero. Note to mention that while I helped guide him in the right direction, all of the legwork in getting this project to release was almost exclusively done by Zero himself. Congratulations to you and those who helped (PR team, Charlotte, Blackbasses) for getting this public, and I'm sure we'll see even more support than we already have!

I'm not against it or anything but would this sorta sketchy on the rules of jagex? Cause it's sorta promoting a site that doesn't really go along with all of jagex's rules. Idk but just a thought, guessing you already thought of this though, but I was just wondering. Even though you're keep the rwt talk out of the fc I think they still wouldn't really like it maybe?

Though I do like the idea of having an fc and it looks really nice so far.

This was indeed the main issue when we discussed such project. I'm fairly active in the clans scene and I can confirm that some friend chats have the same ideology of ours and they are still running after a few years. The FC has been up for almost 2 months now and we haven't had any issues apart from finding reliable ranks.

As long as we keep the RWT aspects out of the chat, there shouldn't be any problems. What we're doing is simply promoting a discord and almost every clan out there do that aswell.

 

Thanks for this @Zero I'll be definitely using this FC on my ironman account when I get around to playing on it again. It's good to have both the Discord and FC available to us all.

If you haven't read the original post, this is a project made by the PR team in order to attract new users to Sythe. I really suggest you take a look at this thread a second time because everything is pretty well explained and detailed. If you have additional questions, feel free to pm me.

 

I’m lost as to where the confusion lies.
There could really only be a few motives to creating a CC.
As Zero stated above, this opens to door to the Discord Channel.
But also re-kindles an active user base both on and off the site.

If you have a business
And you need to recruit a SPECIFIC type of person for that business, where would you go to recruit these people?
The exact place these people spend their time.

It only makes sense to bring new users to Sythe (primarily RS related forum)
From RS.

I get the intent. I can see how it will pull in a community primarily based on Runescape. I hope it works out.

Once the Private Server is complete that will help bring in the traffic to that as well.
