    There is no underlying use case for the xrp coin itself. Again, it's not just about trading the currency it's also about actually using it. Banks don't care for the coin.

    What if I told you you're wrong?

    The premise of using rumors as fact is to stir hype of the coin. Once again it's not about trading the coin on an exchange it's about using it. Even if it is true, it doesn't take much to have a unknown bank in a far region of the world somewhere in Africa to accept xrp. So yes I stand by my position.

    if you knew the technology, you'd understand that any payments under ripple essentially is forced to use xrp for certain payments

    Ambition by a company that has backed up by 100+ contracts that were signed into production with that other ripple product that I forgot.

    Not meaning to troll here but you contradicted your self. "ANY payments under ripple essentially is forced to use xrp for CERTAIN payments". For one I don't think banks are going to jump on the xrp coin. There is no need to. They do like the technology behind it and no one disagrees with the tech. I disagree with the use case of the coin. There is nothing stopping anyone from creating the tech in XRP and letting banks use it without being forced to use a coin.

    Yes there is a difference between having a product which sells and one that doesn't. Apple's iphone is bought by millions globally. People love their apple eco system. But if apple introduces "apple butt plugs and toilet paper" it's not going to sell like hot cakes because that's the point. This is a sales trick. I am talking about one product of mine which is so great but in truth the success of that product does not reflect on the success of the product you are actually investing in. You are not investing in the product which has hundreds of contracts, you are investing in a coin no one signed up to adopt, so instead of pointing to their other products let's talk about the one we are discussing which is the coin.

    Banks send transactions in fiat, not in XRP. Ripple sends transactions in XRP. This means banks have no use for XRP as a payment system, since it doesn't fulfill their use case of settling fiat payments. And no, they are not going to convert to send on each end.

    @Xier0

    Banks inevitably use XRP with ripple technology, if you read further on about how the tech works with some of its cross border payment systems
    And why wouldn't they convert to send them on each end?

    Empty statement.
    Because all that does is add another needless level of complexity, eliminating a source of revenue for the bank while solving none of the bank's problems? The reason bank payments take so long to clear and cost so much isn't because they need a blockchain, it's because banks intentionally put a time buffer on payments in order to offer reasonable fraud protection, funds recovery, and to comply with government AML regulations - none of which is offered by the security of a blockchain.
