You've probably made your choice but most EU cars are kinda trashy for one reason or another. BMW purposefully limiting self maintenance, Mercedes costing an arm and a leg to do basic repairs. If you must have an EU car though I'd recommend trying to find an older BMW, one that's known to be reliable with minimal electrical problems.
