Verified services

Hey,

I can't imagine this is the first time this has been suggested, but I couldn't find anything on the first few pages so thought I'd bring it up! I'm trying to get more involved in the community, rather than just sticking to my 'relevant' sections!

The suggestion is simple - have a 'Verified' services section. To obtain this status, owners would have to undergo certain checks similar to the OMM applications, such as;

1) 'x' amount of vouches of at least 'y' value.
2) No outstanding disputes (could also insist on having had no reasonable disputes within the last 'x' day period).
3) Must have handled at least [$/GP] in orders e.g. $1k/1b+
4) A minimum, reasonable Sythe account age

(Obviously there are a lot more things that could be taken into consideration, but these are just the first few that came to mind)

I believe this could help people a lot in finding services they trust, rather than relying on vouches alone. This would also give something for service owners (such as myself) to strive for - a nice incentive for working hard and providing good work for members of the Sythe community.

Whilst I could happily agree on things like this (having 793 feedback & the most known service on Powerbot, 618 feedback and verified servicer on OSbot) I find that it would also be quite difficult for some people, meaning the section wouldn't really get used to it's potential like it does at the moment.

A lot of people only trade part time, and a few others use this as a big source of income which I assume would be those who enter this part of the section (if it was made), and whilst I would also say yes great we should have these sythe requirements, what happens to those who are extremely well built and known offsite?

 

I am 99% sure this has already been suggested before. While I cant remember the reason of denial I can remember it being declined, probably because of the free market.
