Abortion

So isn't it the people's choice what they want to do to themselves?
 
Yes, it is. Whatever a woman wants to do with her own body is her choice, and no concern of anybody else's.
 
I really don't see why people care about other people's unborn fetuses. First of all they are unborn and when life starts is just a matter of opinion, so pro-lifers are trying to impose their opinion on everyone else. Seriously, even if abortion becomes illegal, people are still going to get abortions. You really can't enforce it if it is illegal because mothers can just go to their home and do the good ol' coathanger trick. If you are going to stop abortion then you have to change people's minds, and since that is never going to happen then you have to give people a choice.

Also, in the first 28 weeks, the fetus cannot feel any pain due to an underdeveloped brain. So I really fucking hate it when people compare abortion to murder.
 
If you dont allow abortion, then who knows what else is next to destroy our public lives.

Next, we shall live in a dictatorship, where you have someone choose what you do, when you do it, why you do it, etc.

1). It's nobody else's business what a woman does with her own body.

2). Do you consider a single fertilized cell to count as a human being?

3). It's not as simple as just putting it up for adoption. If she has been pregnant for four weeks, that means that she has to endure eight months of pregnancy, and then the act of giving birth.
 
Also this is how i see it.

If you know someone that is very sick (paralysis) and the only way you can save them from being a vegetable for the rest of there life, and there are things called stem cells that will help them live! wont you want to use them?

One thing I don't understand about conservatives: I know they are all about no taxes and extremely limited government. And they hate helping people through welfare. But the vast majority of conservatives are also prolife? That means they support more babies being born? So they obviously care about giving the babies a chance at life, but then how come they are against paying taxes to build more foster homes and actually help them out? So basically, they just care about actually giving the unborn baby a chance at life, and when it is finally born, they don't bother to pay more taxes to help the baby lead a normal life.

First of all, there were about 1.2 million babies aborted last year, so if abortion becomes illegal, that is about 1.2 million extra babies born next year. People aren't studdenly going to stop being stupid and stop having sex, so there will be tons of extra babies that the parents wouldn't be able to provide for. So some are definanetly going to be kept by the biological parents, and some are going to be put in foster homes and adopted. I am talking about hundreds of thousands of babies put up for adoption and foster care, where are you going to get that many parents willing to adopt? There are barely any parents adopting today when abortion is legal.

Yes, I do think a single fertilized cell is a human being. Though it isn't what most humans look like (obviously), it is a human and eventually gets born into the world. Just because it's living inside of the woman doesn't mean it shouldn't be considered human. And unless she has been raped or it's a life or death matter, i think she needs to go through with the pregnancy.

Yet I spot a contradiction. You consider anything from conception onwards to be a human life, yet you would support an abortion in the case of rape? If it's a human life, it's a human life, and surely it's worth more than the pain a woman must go through during 9 months of pregnancy.

If that is the case, then if abortion becomes illegal, pregnant women will just claim to be raped by their boyfriends so they could get an abortion.
 
Well, in making abortion illegal, the government is only giving someone less right and will to make their own decision, which in time, humans will turn into mindless, soulless dummys with no recollection of anything that happened from the time they went into the machine to the time they die.

Abortion should not be illegal, but a medical choice in which someone has to make. If the person wants to have a baby, I think that they should be given the will and right to have a baby. Abortion goes much farther out of the lines of teenagers having babies. Grown women have abortions, too.

I think that the American Government is trying to overpopulate the world, so they could have a reason to kill! Surely, if abortion goes illegal, that is what will happen ..

But back onto subject. If abortion was made illegal, a huge chunk of freedom would be taken away from those who need that certain operation. It's their bodies, so let them do what they want.

its right to have an abortion if the mother isnt ready to have a child yet then its not right for her to be forced to have one!
 
I DO NOT SUPPORT ABORTION! It's morally wrong. I find it despicable how you can murder your own children, without a sufficient reason. It shows that you have NO OWNERSHIP, what so ever. When you have sex, you agree to accept the responsibilities of having a child - if you don't agree, don't have SEX!!

According to my religion, Islam; The only case when aborting a foetus, before or after 120 days, is allowed in Islam.

Before 120 days, it's allowed, because it doesn't have a soul. You're not saying, it's not alive, who cares? Well, it's indeed alive. When you feed something, it has to be obviously alive. Not dead.

When we say "it's not a life", we usually mean it's not a human life.
 
It's indeed a human life. It's breathing and eating, or it couldn't survive in the atmosphere around it, correct? It's not a rule, but you choose to accept the responsibilities of having a child. Because, possibly a child could come, but you're killing a life. When you abort it of course..

It's a human life when it is outside of the mother, surviving. It's not breathing or eating until it's outside of the mother.
