Honestly, I've never used playerauctions for other than gp, and in that regard, I've never had a problem. However, accounts are a whole different monster. Personally, I've never bought an account from playerauctions, as I try to get myself in a position where, if the account were to be recocered, It would basically mean my word against the sellers. Second, I was reading over the protection they offer the buyers, and although it states that they'll reimburse you in the unlikely event that you lose your account due to recovery or ban from previous owner, that only happens if you spend more money and get an 'insurance package', other than that, the only guarantee they give the seller is that they'll help them get the account back, and we all know that'll get you nowhere as the seller would've already recovered and run with it.
Personally, the last time i bought an account for personal use, I did so through a rs account selling website, as they at least promise some money-back guarantee for life. [100% credit if account gets recovered within 2 months, 50% credit if it gets recovered within 6 months and, after that, 25% credit for life if it ever gets recovered]. honestly, although i'm still at risk of losing the account, its a policy I'm at least comfortable with, as I'll forever have a guarantee of some money back in case of a recocery. Also, as i understand it, you have 45 days to dispute a payment on paypal (from what i remember), so if the seller is a smart scammer, he will probably wait out the 45 days and then recover, keeping his account AND his money. However, since this is the most likely scenario in my opinion, if the seller were to plan on recovering, its still covered under the first 2 months of buying the account so I'm protected, after that, (6 months, year) I find it unlikely that the account gets recovered. For this reason alone I decided to go with a RS selling website.
Again, it's up to you, and you may be totally pleased with playeraucitons' policies, but personally, i simply don't like to engage in trade disputes with other people, as it's their word against mine. And if you were to not buy the protection package, all playeracutions will do is 'help' you get account back, and as they claim, 'persecute' the seller, which in other words means a ban because after a while, that's basically all they can do.
For the reasons I mentioned above, and the fact that a middleman provides no actual protection other than you initially getting the product, I stray away from P.A.
In the end, it's your choice. Regardless, it's a better option than buying from random, un-trusted members on sythe, as you at least have some level of protection, regardless of how shallow it may be.
Just my two cents!
Good luck my friend. (I apologize for any grammatical errors as I'm writing this from my iphone and it ccan be tricky sometimes).
