Weary of PlayerAuctions

Playerauctions support got ahold of me, this was their response:

I'm glad you reached out.

"Based on the evidence provided during our investigation, we are unable to determine that the seller is responsible for the loss of access to your account."

And then:

"In the event that you'd be able to provide strong and sufficient evidence to support your claim, we'd be glad to check that evidence and reopen the case."

So basically, if you're going to sell accounts, make throwaway emails, accounts, you name it, and pull a ProZuker and be a okay, because this is how PlayerAuctions does business. Apparently. Oh, and their "insurance," means absolutely fuck all.

This is a very very hate filled rant. Prepare.

I've done business on playerauctions for since 2017. Buying gold, accounts, you name it.

Spanning MULTIPLE games, spending thousands.

Bought an OSRS account 2 weeks ago (paid $320 USD, PAs insurance costed an extra $28.77)

Seller recovered 3 days ago, submitted all information to playerauctions.

The individual (ProZuker) deleted his playerauctions account, playerauctions STILL FOUND HIM IN FAVOR. HOW?!?!?!?!

I BOUGHT INSURANCE. I DID EVERYTHING RIGHT.

I can post pictures, but what's the use? I messaged their support team, so we will see if anything changes. But if this doesn't change, I'm done with PlayerAuctions, and will move here for my dealings in the future.

*Oh. I did get the last laugh however, he sold me an ironman account and it changed to a normal the day he recovered it back. The reason I know it's a regular, you can find it on the highscores

 

Sorry to hear that happened to you. I personally would never purchase an account due to the OO being able to recover it at any time.

I'm hoping via reddit, or the ticket I've submitted will be just enough for them to re-review the case.

It would also be a tad different as well if they had messaged me "We need more supporting documents. Please show us xxxxx"

I'm hoping for good news. Considering I BOUGHT THEIR INSURANCE and if my dispute is falsified (which it isnt) my PA account could be terminated.

Will update here, have never had a problem with them since I joined in 2017...until today.

 

yeah the PA insurance is defo a scam, it will side with the seller almost 100% of the time regardless of the situation.

Luckily a friend told me about how shit it was and to never buy it before I signed up

 

Account buying processes are just so shit on any site and its so risky. You have to be cautious on what account you buy from anywhere. Sad that they can get away with scamming even with their IDs on file...
