Reporting myself

I'm simply wondering what the ruling is on my account being banned as a direct link to an unrelated thing that the OP is doing. Also there was not screenshots provided for every quest (Yes I didn't require them at the beginning of the service) so it doesn't completely rule out some of it being botted.

 

If screenshots weren't a part of the TOS then he isn't required to provide them. Granted others have been on the account and you yourself could be responsible, I don't believe a refund is required here unless you have some other proof to indicate he was the one to have botted.

 

The proof is the fact that he openly admitted to having an open bot farm without telling me ahead of starting the quests. Every other level on the account is accounted for through screenshots. Honestly it's only 12m for the service he provided so it's not a huge deal and I don't want to make it a giant hassle. I just wanted to know what the ruling was if his own activities got the account banned

 

We don't hold someone accountable for botting unless there is proof. Saying you've botted before doesn't mean you've botted now.

I understand that, and even let's say he hand trained the quests. I want a ruling if his own acquisitions directly affect my account. Whether or not the account was hand trained, I passed the account to him and it came back banned.

 

@rektbyq , please try to message jagex support and try to recover / unban your account. (Via Twitter)

Say that someone hacked your account, botted on it , and got it banned.

If they see the drastic ip change as to where the botting was taken place they will unban your account.

This is correct. The account will be unbanned today with a mark of a bot busting moderate on it. I'm still hoping to appeal the ban. The ban itself on the website is not appealable but I am contacting. Jagex through email and via twitter

 

Jagex will quash the ban if the botting was done by a foreign IP (aka not yours).

 

I'm still waiting on a response. I will update when they get back to me

 

Still nothing from Jagex. How long is the expected wait on average?

At what date did you send in an appeal? and how did you appeal?

 

Sent in an appeal 1/19/17 through reddit + twitter since the ban was unappealable on their website.
