Do u know if he scammed krab or anyone ?
Happy ending for everyone yayyyHe didn't scam anyone in TS, only "randoms on sythe"
I expect runescape will make a come backif this website doesn't shift focus and become popular with another game, its future is in jagex's hands. if runescape dies this website will die with it, but if runescape thrives, this website will thrive with it. i don't know the numbers, but i'd guess a large portion of this site's traffic comes from the Runescape market.
or another option is getting activity in the discussion sections, but i don't know how this website will compete with large forums like reddit, and the oldfags on this website don't really welcome new people in discussion usually just ignoring whatever they post so i don't think that's a viable option unless there is a change in oldfag thinking. most of the discussion forums are currently dead except the spam forum so we need to get more discussion in these sections. you literally have the same group of 10-15 elitists controlling every discussion on discord or the forums so how would a newcomer ever join the discussion?
in my honest opinion, one thing holding this website back is an elitist attitude with people who have ranks and have been on the website the longest. they essentially demotivate the newcomers from ever joining in conversation because the newcomers simply don't feel relevant. what's the point of joining Sythe and taking years to be a relevant member when they can join Reddit and become a relevant member in a day or two in terms of discussion? i've been here for 3 years and have used this website less and will probably stop in the near future (once school starts in a week) simply because I don't feel as relevant as other users in terms of opinion and input, whereas in a forum like Reddit, everyone is on the same playing field in terms of opinion and only meritocracy of opinion is upvoted no matter the status on the forum (with biases not being prevalent and holding users back).
Care to elaborate? Spam forum banter and all that aside the only thing that's brought it more players was the release of 07 and it's been a steady decline since then so how do you foresee RS making a comeback?I expect runescape will make a come back
If you've logged in recently you'll see the efforts they're going to. In particular they're listening to their users and following through with what they want to see. That and they're making leaps and bounds to getting off java completely. Once they are free of that the game can expand.Care to elaborate? Not saying runescape will ever be a "huge" game again, but it has been smaller than it currently isCare to elaborate? We are becoming more community focused. You have to put effort into having your opinion mean something here. That's one of the ways we differentiate ourselves from sites like reddit
Haven't paid enough attention to notice anything towards them getting away from Java but they've been trying the listening to people thing for quite a while nowIf you've logged in recently you'll see the efforts they're going to. they've developed a C++ client with much better graphics however its buggy atm. that won't be forever.Haven't paid enough attention to notice anything towards them getting away from Java but they've been trying the listening to people thing for quite a while now
I remember having this conversation with someone in highschool circa 2004first DNT and now you think RS will last forever? you're delusional rich

"do you really think runescape is going to be around 10 years from now"
"yes"
Nvm I found out.
Can't believe everyone liked this douchebag. I didn't. Always knew he was a cum stain.
please srb.Shut up Steve you're still not getting mod
Hard to see that far ahead with any accuracy but I expect we will still be herewhere do you honestly expect this forum to be in 10 years just curious
They will/have achieved that with the c++ client tbh. And it's still free to playRS will most likely maintain it's popularity for a while because it's a well made game and has a dedicated fanbase, but I don't see it bringing many new players in anytime soon. In general, MMO's just aren't as popular as they used to be in the past. Combine this with the fact that there are many more enticing free MMO's than RS now days (Just look at Tera or Blade and Soul), and a slew of them for people willing to pay a cheap one time fee (GW2 etc), I can't see many people coming to RS. Younger players like instant gratification and shiny graphics.
I expect runescape will make a come back
