I'm like a walking Sythe (ancient) history book.

Anyway, nuky-d was promoted and shortly after hacked. I don't recall him ever attempting to come back.

atomic sent out emails where he attempted to phish. I want to say the rule was in a gray area at the time and there was reason to believe he didn't break any rules during the time. It was a couple days after, that there was enough evidence to keep him banned. I believe it was found that he attempted to phish sythe.org members (same issue, just more information was found).

yakov was in a salty mood and made a thread about Sythe history (I still remember seeing the thread). I wont go into too much detail, as it is taboo around here, but the gist of it was a thread about Sythe (richard) not caring about his mods and behind the scenes "allegations" about sythe.org and the website before this one.

shinoda and zypur had some issues with the site and decided to go out with a bang. They wanted to be demoted in an original way so they changed lots of member's signatures to the infamous Asian sigs (old fags know what I'm talking about). After that shinoda became inactive on the site, while keeping a little more activity on the IRC channel. He eventually fell off entirely and his account was hacked and subsequently banned.

Lysol I don't remember much about Lysol, he did come back briefly around 2009ish (both sythe.org and the IRC). Last I remember he was located in Florida.

Shredderbeam was a smart dude and a cool guy. He got mixed up with Sigex, who later sold him out. I'm not 100% sure but I want to say that Darren aka Shredderbeam wanted to stop so Sigex provided evidence against him. People do make mistakes but I believe people can grow from them. I always supported shredderbeam and I wouldn't mind seeing a pardon from him.

These statements are 100% from memory so I apologize if I made minor mistakes.

If there are any other older sythe history questions, I would be happy to answer to the best of my ability.

 

He was hacked one day and thought he had his profile under control. The user who hacked him had also hacked a few other profiles. He showed me a screenshot of the PM the user sent to someone trying to scam them but he was talking to me himself on his profile so I assumed he was fine. A few days later the report popped up and it looked new, so i'm guessing either there was another attempted scam that the user waited a few days to report or he didn't fully secure his profile and the hacker never lost access. Nobody was actually scammed as far as posted reports go, so I assume when he's able to regain 100% access to his profile and nobody else can access it, they'll un-ban him.

Seems nobody knows why Lysol was banned, may have just been hacked or something when his profile returned lol.

Also when I was looking for stuff on Atomic, it seemed like he was banned, pardoned by Finn for the phishing (back when the pardon system was literally just an admin saying whether or not they pardoned you), and banned again a few years later.

 

Lysol- publicly insulting Richard and making accusations against him.

Guessing evasion but can't find a reported post about him unless it's not public yet, so i'm assuming he was caught by a staff member or someone privately informed a staff member so they could ban him.

He didn't post anything about it other than saying "Bai Sythe" in his last post. I'm guessing he's either done with or taking a break from Sythe since the school year is just starting up again, or he's just busy / doesn't have a need for Sythe anymore.

What circumstances lead to ban Plznate permanently and why did he get unbanned in 2011?

 

2011 I assume pardoned

He owed money to a known scammer named Violent, the money was supposed to go to a victim of Violent's and he never sent it so he's banned for owing money.
