You're asking a cheating forum this question haha?

Anyway cheating is anything I can't talk my way out of or have a rational explanation for whatever I did. That's specific for monogamy obviously.

Anything more than a handshake is unacceptable. If she starts to feel anything at all for another person, it's cheating. Just my opinion, but I have high standards. Worked out for me so far.

I don't know which country you're from, but in most western countries hugging is okay, and sometimes even kisses. Affection can be shown without it being sexual in nature.

I always hug my friends in front of their partners. Does that mean they're openly cheating?

Neither of us really have any friends close enough to hug, unfortunately. It would be weird.

    Fair enough.

Maybe it's just the nature of the society I'm in. A lot of people in Australia are of western European descent (either directly or back a generation or two) where in a lot of cases it is completely normal to use a hug as a greeting. My friend from Belgium, for example, will give hugs to say goodbye even though I don't know her so well. It's just general affection.

For my girlfriend, any talking to another girl, she will blank it if its nothing, but if we argue 'oh why dont you go have sex with that girl you talked too!' I'm sorry babe but shes got a husband and is 10 years older than me with 3 kids and I'm asking where her younger brother is? It kills me haha, but yeh, any physical contact or intentions or talking about it really.

To me cheating on someone no matter what it is, will be considered cheating. That I my thought and if you are unhappy with that person. Leave

That's very broad. What, to you, constitutes a faithful, monogamous relationship and what doesn't?

Yes but what actions actually constitute (i.e. MAKE) a faithful relationship?
    What actions actually MAKE cheating?

I'd state cheating would be when you and another male or female have sexual intercourse.

However, your partner may consider anything such as kissing, snogging or foreplay as cheating and being unfaithful.

Interesting to see the diverse spectrums of interpretation.
It's hard to give a clear set line as to what's cheating or not. I will hug my friends, both male and female friends. I will hold hands with both male and female friends.
Although most the time I hold a male friend's hand it's to make him (any extremely homo-phobic) person feel uncomfortable. I will say that I'm a heterosexual male, but in regards to basically anything shy of kissing I don't have an issue doing, especially when it comes to messing with my friend.
I flirt, it's what I do. I think that flirting is part of social interaction. Flirting is a means of complimenting somebody, and in a way that's often better received.

For the most part, I agree with the statement of whatever you wouldn't tell your partner is cheating.
