    Do you have any apps like Clownfish installed? If so delete those.. Are you on any VPN? If so disconnect from that.

    Are you on Windows 7/8? Mac?

    I've found this online it may work may not..

    Click start >> RUN >> type msconfig.exe and Press Enter.
    Tick Hide all microsoft service >> Click Disable All

    Then restart dat computer, glglglgl

    Are you on a mac or pc? If mac, try opening terminal and entering this and then your pass (temp fix, not permanent; try reinstalling if problem recurs after restarting):

    sudo /Applications/Skype.app/Contents/MacOS/Skype
