depends on the sit, which im sure it gets abused and is mostly racial profiling, i personally havn't seen/don't think they do that near were i live, so i have no exp with this.

 

They have it in the states around me so I have been stopped twice, simply for being out at night downtown with a few of my friends. I don't think it's racial profiling though because we're all preppy white boys.

Thoughts on guns/racial profiling/Stop and frisk!

 

Stop and frisk is a direct violation of the 4th amendment. One must be under the suspicion of having committed or conspiring to commit a crime to in any way be stopped or detained by an officer of the law.

We have a system that lets pigs get away with infringing on the public's rights....

Racial profiling? Clearly it exists but when the majority of crimes in an area are perpetrated by an ethnic minority it becomes somewhat understandable.


Guns won't go away. Passing laws for criminals is an oxymoron.


Our youth have an extreme hatred for the values we once had but blindly, even religiously accept the new ones presented to them. Fucking think for yourselves.

 

Do you think Stop-and-frisk provides results?

^ what are you trying to achieve by posting that? Ease of access?
With less than 800$ and a bit of brains someone could make multiple bombs in rental/stolen cars and blow them up next to office buildings/malls wreaking havoc.

 

I personally think it should be obtainable but with certain restrictions regarding people with previous criminal history and some sort of talk from a psychologist stating they are mentally competent and can own a gun.

(I dont know what rules that the united states has in place right now)

 

There is a criminal background check and a record of complaints check.

 

I believe there is no reason to change the laws we have right now. Shootings have and always will happen. The media just seems to enjoy focusing on the most recent shootings and that in turn, makes some Americans believe that we should do something differently about it.

If someone wants a gun they will get it no matter what. Whether it was obtained legally or not.

 

How do u propose we cut back on ILLEGAL gun obtainments?

 

Maybe increasing the sentence/ fine of someone owning one would deter them from purchasing one in the first place.

Life in Prison for carrying an unlawful automatic weapon. how do you increase that?

Show me this law please. The laws vary from state to state and most states only issue a life term, if the individual has been caught with an unlawful weapon more than once.

 

"Under United States federal law, the use of a firearm in a violent or drug trafficking crime is punishable by a mandatory prison sentence of up to 20 years. The minimum is one month. A second conviction, if the firearm is an automatic weapon or is equipped with a suppressor, brings life imprisonment without release."

No where did you mention that if you use it for a violent crime that you would be punished. You made it sound like you get life term for just possessing an illegal firearm.
