But keeping him banned for a pardon with no effort is fucking stupid. He obviously is sorry or he wouldn't have come forward.... No one would have found out.

I would have respected his decisions if he would have posted a well thought out pardon before asking for a ban. I know that sounds counter productive but the "Request a Pardon" section is where you go to confess to your wrong doings.

Why come clean now? Idk, we will have to ask him ourselves. Why should he not come clean at this time though. You gotta give the man props for coming clean. I don't believe anyone was 'on to him'. I couldn't see any connections between ASAPGANG and the vader accounts. He's coming clean to start over maybe? Just like he's starting a new life in a new country. I respect your decisions but still... Keeping him banned for the length/sincerity of his pardon is just plain silly IMO.
