realistic premise? WTF is realistic about cyborgs? I dont think our technology has risen to a level of creating cyborgs yet... so to post on a thread about cyber-parts on a human with why its not possible, is pretty dumb anyway that you look at it.
You were talking about robotic prosthetics, something that is being worked on in robotics labs across the United States and the world. When people attempt to create these things they have to develop them with the limitations of the rest of the human body in mind. You blatantly attacked Mohtasa for making a factual statement and now you're going to try and lecture me on respect.
Posting here about what you believe and calling me an idiot for not believing it is also pretty dumb... isn't that considered bigotry? The prime thing here is do you think if aliens came to earth, we would try to befriend or kill them. I made my statement, I asked for others. You did fine in your first post, but after that you just started actin like... i dont even know... an asshole I guess... and when I return your asshole-ness with my own, it makes me wrong, but you right?
What I believe? I posted plain and simple facts and used them to back up my claims that our technology was too inferior for us to possibly compete with aliens who can travel across the galaxy. What part of that is inaccurate or a "belief"? You clearly have no grasp on the power requirements of an engine that would propel a ship of sufficient size to close to light speed, not to mention the technical advancements that would need to be made to sustain life on that ship for potentially years at a time.
My point was that we use controlled explosions to get the space shuttles into orbit, which is rather primitive in comparison. The amount of resources and combustible material required to get a ship of sufficient size to travel across the galaxy is completely unrealistic, if not impossible. Any technology propelling an alien ship would be far superior to ours. Iran has trouble enough making heads or tails of a captured U.S. drone, how do you think we would handle tech from a race hundreds if not thousands of years more advanced than us? And that's being generous because that would mean we even got our hands on it in the first place.
I am making my own points and you begin attacking me with things like "are you high?" and etc. I was indeed high. and I'm high right now. If I was sober, how would I even think up a random ass subject like this? However, showing respect will go a long way, and after your first post, you've shown none, and I will show you none in return.
A random ass subject? What? Aliens visiting Earth and the implications of such an event requires being intoxicated to discuss? I suppose Stephen Hawking likes to smoke a bowl before writing some proofs then.
I referred to you as "high" because you clearly weren't thinking straight. Your points were hardly points at all, but just unsupported claims - it sounds like you just went on a marathon watching War of the Worlds, Star Trek, and Star Wars and thought it was real science.
You could have easily revised that second post to not have things that was INTENDED to offend, but you did have those things in there that were intended to offend me and I think about the only thing that did actually offend me was the fact you were trying to do so, and when I did so back, you got butthurt and just kept going on. So either let this thread go back to the type of discussion it was meant to be (do u think we wud attack them or not) or we can keep going back and forth, I really dont care, I get on the computer when I dont have shit else to do, so while I'm online, I got plenty of time to fuck with ya back an forth.
Yes, I was intending to offend you. Everyone that has posted in this thread and everyone that will view it in the future will clearly see that your points are unsupported and quite frankly unintelligent.
Implying I'm "butthurt" by someone who clearly didn't pass 11th grade Physics is about as absurd as the rest of your beliefs.
The discussion was would we attack an alien race should it come to planet Earth, and the answer is obviously no. We wouldn't. You didn't say an alien invasion, you didn't say Hitler's reincarnation, no, you said aliens VISITING Earth.
The whole basis of your argument is that we'd attack aliens just out of the blue because we're a violent, thoughtless, unintelligent, and aggressive race. This, as everyone can clearly see, is an opinion. You did not attempt to support it with factual evidence or professional opinion, but you treated it as if it was a fact and tried to manipulate the posts of other users to fit your Science Fiction discussion.
If you want to make a thread that's based purely on your opinions, please state that in the original post because otherwise individuals like myself and the other members that have posted in this thread think you intend to have a serious and intellectual discussion, which you clearly do not.
