Regarding Viou's ban

Completely fine with it, but if you're going to enforce bans for reselling illegally obtained goods, please be a little more strict on it. I do believe some other gold seller(s) have openly purchased from people, knowing they obtained it by hacking or scamming, and I do also believe that pins pose a very similar situation, as much as we pretend it's just upgrades. Agree/disagree?

Didn't R2P trade with a somebody who told him he hacked a kid for the 1b he was selling to him and then the hacker reported him and nothing happened? How'd that happen (note I don't know the whole story on that one, just recounting what I remember)

I'm sure almost all the biggest sellers have been involved in some shady trades at one time or another. I personally try my best to avoid it, but others aren't as keen. For example, someone ordered 1B via Western Union using a different location than his IP, and I would not pick it up and deliver it until he verified his ID. Turns out he was a staker using a proxy for protection, but it could have been a hacked Western Union payment.

Pretty much 90 percent of the Steam market is hacked accounts.

So would seeing a Steam account seller selling 100 accounts and you buy one and you are sure it is hacked because well, its so damn obvious would that be bannable.

I think he was banned because he knowingly repeatedly bought of scammers and people he knew that were using frauded paypals to buy gold of others then sell to him. At least that's what I think. If it was once or twice I'm sure Sythe wouldn't have banned him.

I think I have a completely different definition for counterscamming. He's a situation where I personally think it would be okay.

• Person A owes Person B $500 for whatever reason
• Person A gives Person B something worth $500
• Person B doesn't pay him, since Person A has outstanding debt

That would be collateral, no trade apart from loaning on sythe works with collateral. I'm pretty sure your sellers don't hold part of their gold until your payment in full clears before receiving the other portion of the gold.
