Better off asking here:http://www.head-fi.org
Guess you already know that, but just a suggestion.
But I've only heard good things about Pioneer for DJ equipment.
I don't know the specifics so not that helpful of an answer lol.
I've really only personally used MP3 decks, I've used both of the Numark MP3 decks. They're both really good.
I personally feel your CDJs are only going to be as good as your controller you get. Make sure you get 4 channels, you'll regret it if you don't. Im pretty sure the N4 is 4 channels, but the pioneer's are good my friend uses them at the club he plays at. Just buy the one's that are better for you, some are better from scratching, some have better BPM control for that it comes down to what type of mixing you're going to be doing.
Personal favourite are the CDJ-2000 Nexus, I have 2 pairs, lucky me.
I also have the djm2000, pioneer gear is the sought for shit when after DJ equipment.
If you like using your laptop I would suggest the XDJ-Areo or the DDJ SX.
If you have a tight budget, wait till after Christmas and the DDJ S1 will drop hell in price.
If you got any questions drop me a PM. You're from Manchester you're local to me, I'd like to hear your stuff out.
Experience: DJ around UK and hold residency in Jimmy Woo (ADam)
Do your basic research from them all mate, I would suggest the djm 2000 if you are getting the cdj 2000 nexus.
If you really want to get stuck in i'd look at buying the new RMX1000, i'm getting one for christmas, I have one in a studio in Manchester and you can set cues and play with them for hours dude.
