What the hell?

Okay, now this is kind of personal, but I don't have anyone to discuss this with since the friend of this guy which is also my friend does not want to mention this situation again. I'm not sure if this is a sick joke or what.. but here is the story

I was friends with a very old server called runelife, this was 5 years ago. Ever since there has been a group of veterans that made the server the best at the time, I've had these guys on skype for a very long period of time. One of the group members was always in a bad mood and was dealing with home problems a lot. I was on a skype call with him and his dad I THINK was beating him, he said he had to go, but he didn't close the skype call. I guess he thought I would, but I heard everything. Him and his dad would always fight and argue, but one day most of us invited him into the call and wanted to prank him, the joke wasn't serious but it went like this..

He never had a large amount of money on rs, so we pretended as if we were up like 10b staking or whatever and when we told him he'd get more than any of us he was so happy. This was the happiest I've seen him, I actually stopped talking and pretended I had to go because it wasn't funny anymore. After we told him it was a joke, he didn't speak for a few minutes and all I heard was loud thumps and noise in the background and I heard like a pop noise.. and a few seconds after he disconnected from the call. We was all quiet after because we didn't expect him to go off like this.

He always talked about guns etc so after thinking what might have happened he could of killed himself. Now I do not take it as a joke because he's one of my best friends online. We video chatted before etc.. He was like my brother.

It was 3 days after the incident and he still hasn't logged on skype. Everynight he loggs on skype, and I meant every single night. Either through his phone or computer. I've spoke to my other friends and they don't want to speak about it.. not sure if they're scared or what, but I've had no contact with him.

Today I was notified that he was diagnosed with severe bipolar (Maniac Depression). I mean when I talked to him he was sometimes chilled, but his voice never showed any excitement or anything.. This is what my friend told me at least. He doesn't have a facebook, but he lives in arizona.. I'm still looking for any articles about what might have happened...

What do you think?

 

That pop was him probably disconnecting the router because you guys are faggots. That is not really the description for a gun shot.

A gun shot is a really distinct noise.. and I forgot that people play pranks on people with "Maniac Depression" (that's how they label symptoms nowadays?) over Runescape.. but then again, losers do play RS..

 

He's probably pretty pissed at you guys and may have temp blocked you.

If he shot himself, it would have been a hell of a lot louder, plus, he was probably in a enclosed area, bedroom, basement which would have made the gunshot 10x because of the waves bouncing off the wall.

 

Well he had horrible connection for his mic. That pop was the loudest thing I've heard from his mic.

 

Probably because he pulled it out of the port.

 

I don't think he killed himself...i mean if he did that's fucked up and i feel no sympathy for him. The odds that you're "prank" brought him over the edge is highly unlikely. If it did then.....you dun fucked up.

 

If he killed himself I don't think he could have disconnected from the call a few seconds after like that.

 

You guys know that he has a hard as hell life with a father who beats him and you troll the fuck out of him.

Idk, it seems that most other guys I know are fucking stupid. They don't have the social ability to understand COMMON SENSE. Try it out sometime OP or at least don't just "go silent cuz its not funny anymore", try to be the decent human being who stops the prank gone bad.

He said he didn't find out he had manic depression until today, after they pulled the prank.


To the OP; I doubt he killed himself. A gun wouldn't sound like a popping noise, its more of a boom.

 

This, I don't really think someone would put a bullet in them self and then sign off skype.

 

If you insist it was a gunshot, he probably shot his computer or router.

That'd explain the logging off of skype afterwards. As for him logging on to it with a phone, he probably just doesn't want to deal with you guys anymore.

 

This could be him playing a sic jok back on you he could have lied about being bi-polar because you guys made a pretty sick joke to him. I doubt he wants to be friends with you anymore and just left with a bang, you guys did kind of treat him like shit tbh.

 

if you have his full name, run a google search on him. I doubt he killed himself i would apologise if he wants to talk to you and give him space.

 

Well like I said the pop was the last sound I heard. I know what gun shots sound like because I used to go to the range a lot and we always talked about guns. He had a 44 magnum that his dad gave to him. I imagine it being loaded and with his condition it may be likely that it could of happened.

The feeling of being on top of the world, and instantly falling right under in a few seconds was the description of his reaction. I feel so fucking bad because I'm still yet to hear from him and google wont give me any articles under his name.

Well maybe he is fine, but no offense to him I don't think he would be able to prank us back like that in seconds. Not that he isn't smart, but to use his own illness against us is unlikely.

You should re-read what I wrote. I didn't say his dad beats him.. they always argue. As for pranking him, don't see what was wrong, we were having fun. We didn't expect him to act the way he did.
