Bot Nuke
I've heard of this "Bot Nuke" thing and I have been very curious as to how it works. I am a long time Runescape player, but didn't really play for a while cause the way prices were due to bots depleting money sources. At the time I was against bots. (So much for that now... Lol) Can anyone give me a detailed description?

Support, i would also like to no how it works, its something to do with a cluster flutterer...

Okay, I am not the most code savvy person but here is how I understand it.

Reflection bots have a copy of the runescape code built into the client and it reads that code against the actual runescape code and can tell where everything is at that way. Injection bots inject hooks into the code and pull out pieces of code (Correct me if I am wrong) to read. The bot nuke tried to make it where they couldn't use the hooks to go into code by changing the way it is programmed. Reflection bots were rendered useless by legal threats because it is illegal to use the RS code in any other way besides to play runescape because of certain copyright laws.

Now please, correct me if I am wrong anyone.

Edit: Simba is a color recognition bot and it reads the colors on the screen and recognizes them and does as programmed. So it is not effected because it doesn't contain the RS code or does not inject itself into RS.

Thanks for answering my question! But I still need a more universal description of the bot nuke, and what they do to ban us! Thanks though!

They ban you through player reports and they used to do bot busting sweeps but I don't know if they do that anymore. If something looks like a bot then it probably is, and if you are playing for like 36 hours without stopping it is obvious no human can do that. They claim to have bot detecting software, but I seriously doubt that claim... Honestly no one knows the exact process but generally it is player reports.

I am not sure what you mean by general description. It was a programming change coupled with legal contact to try to prevent bot makers from producing bots.

I don't think Simba would be able to be on for that long, it immediately logs out after a random comes along. Something I strongly dislike about it.

I run simba for several hours each day, generally 6 to 12. While it doesn't do all randoms, if the script has random enabled, then it will do any randoms it can. It is less detectable than this new wave of injection bots, it is free, and is hack free. It also depends a lot on the script you are using, you have to do your research to make sure that you don't have a messed up script.

I'm using an SRL script, I tried MSI but I can't get it to work because it has a very confusing interface. It would be great if I could use it, the best scripts I heard are MSI's.

injection/reflection bots like powerbot, epicbot, rarebot etc can be detected and patched and result in a mass bot nuke

colour/color bots are scripts which rely on colour/color the only way to patch them is day and night ( colours/colors in runescape change there tolerance slightly every now and then (highly doubt they will introduce this, lag will be terrible)

since colour bot are scripts its unlikely any players can be caught using them since there is no injection/reflection (smart possibly could get nuked if jagex plays there cards right)

Bot Nuke
Essentially the bot nuke 1) Randomized the arrays & hooks, and 2) Changed item ID's. Scripting around the bot nuke was completed by the major bot developers within a few weeks but legal disputes have prevented them from releasing functional versions of their clients.

I got it working, thanks :P What is best, MSI, SRL, or SPS scripts?

Those are plugins and extensions, not script types. The scripts utilize those but aren't classified by those. You have to read through the thread and decide for yourself based on feedback on the thread.

The RS client already shifts colors after X amount of minutes, OR X amount of user events. The same is applied to with all text (your uptext when hovering over an item/object/npc/player), as well as right-click menu text. You can right-click on anything with a menu and watch it for a few seconds, you'll notice the text will randomly space itself by a small amount in different areas.

Also, the next time you're walking around RS, take note of the general color shades of your map region. When you change regions you'll noticed quite a big shift in all colors of your new map region. This is all normal, it's nothing new to us.

A day/night system would, once again, only slow us down for a very short amount of time. It would be quite simple to determine the 'time of day' in RS and use that knowledge to convert existing colors to a darker shade (for night time) or lighter shade (normal day time). I believe any fellow color scripters would agree with me; it's nothing we can't overcome.

lol (Cluster Flutter was the nickname of the last botnuke.)

If you have a static IP, your required to reset the window after 6 hrs.
Not sure how it works otherwise, have any of you botted for over 6 hrs lately?

I'm reeeeeally hoping they [Jacmob, Traitor] can't/ won't detect the bots for at-least another month. Shits cash atm; Rarebot is working for now; but I'll bet it and Epicbot are the first to get nuked.
