Swearing

I don't, well except if I'm like playing Cod I might be like "damn it!"

I swear often if I'm angry/depressed. Other times, not so much. I'll do it to make something more humorous as well if it's appropriate for the situation. So, I guess it's mostly a way to express extreme emotion for me.

I don't find it offensive at all, but the people who do it constantly lessen my opinion of themselves. It seems they think it makes them look cool, which it certainly does not.

 

I usually only swear when I'm joking, but never when I'm serious. It doesn't bother me at all though.

 

I don't swear much, but I don't mind if people do, they're just words.

Unfortunately, I often catch myself saying bad words, especially "fucking" as in "that's fucking awesome!".

 

I swear only when It makes sense to, or when I'm in pain (mythbusters).
For example, If someone was talking about shit - literally - I wouldn't hesitate to say shit. When swearing is spammed or used metaphorically, I don't like it.

 

I have to agree with a lot of previous posts.

I swear in when attempting to be humorous most of the time, as long as the word fits the bat, I'll throw it in there.

Although apart from that, I'm not one to swear much. Unless I'm drunk or watching football.

 

I swear whenever I feel like it tbh, usually when I'm angry, or to give something effect like, "That test was fucking hard!" My parents don't mind if I swear, I guess they have more stuff to worry about then a simple word..

I don't mind people that swear, but as you said.. if someone does it ALL the time, I also feel like they're looking for attention.

 

for a while i stopped swearing completely...but then i got back into it cuz i loved singing to lyrics haha and now i swear around friends and in public but never around family...unless it accidentally slips but my mom doesnt care much. but still out of respect i dont.

 

I use to swear a lot whilst I was at high school but I guess you just grow out of those type of things.

I don't really mind when other people swear I just dislike it when it is excessive and out of context. It degrades my image of you if you over do it.

It's not that big of a deal really, but if you want to carry yourself professionally swearing isn't a good idea

 

I don't swear that much. Definitely depends who I'm around.

 

I swear a lot, usually while playing Xbox just to help me vent frustration. Nothing makes me feel better than shouting 'FUCK' at the top of my lung. For the most part, I only use some swear words for emphasis.

 

You shouldn't be offended by a word imo and swearing can express emotons well. I swear all the time, I use it as a way to express something better, comedy and even use it instead of going ummmmm.

 

I used to swear too often (especially the word "cunt") but I have cut it back down since I actually was arrested once for it but it wasn't just swearing.
Now I just swear mostly when I am pissed or something unexpected happens. I swear ALOT when I skateboard. I do even swear around in front of my family and parents so it really isn't a bad thing as we just are adults talking.
Really I don't think its bad at all it feels pretty normal to me to say those words like it would be any other word.
The only time I never swear is around kids since I have to set example to hundreds of kids at my daycare and not be a bad influence. It's sometimes hard though xD

 

I swear often when I'm with my friends.
When I'm with parents or other people at school, I don't swear.
