General: Whoever came up with the april fools on Alteranz, that was completely out of order, and he/she should be punished IMO.

Giddy: You shouldnt post links to porn sites, even in the image form. I am referring to the post in the spam forum, which I thought was illegal in Sythe

Giddy #2: You shouldnt of permed everyone in the perm ban thread. That was an actual funny April Fools thread.

I figured a little fun poking a stick at myself wouldn't hurt anyone - it's April Fools and I was just having a little fun at my expense

Whoever banned people on that thread: What were you thinking? Was it some kind of april fools? If it was, it was retarded and a waste of everyones time. Also makes the people banned look bad when being traded with..

Giddy is just having some fun. Nothing wrong with that. And they were banned for about 20 minutes. Nobody was hurt.

 

Ehh.... I suppose like I said, it was just a little fun. It only directly concerned me, so I can live with the consequences I'm not too fussed.

 

That wasn't fun though, or funny.. It just makes this forum look immature..

 

It was just a mere April Fools prank I had fun doing it, and so did a few others.

I'm going to stop debating about it now though - it's unlike me. You can choose not to trust me anymore, I don't mind as it's your choice man.

Yes but atleast this didn't hurt anybody, except Alteranz. It was his choice aswell.

On the other hand, with the banning people who posted in the thread, that's a banned sign next to your name. That can harm rep.. People should have been consulted first, however I'm sure nothing like that will ever happen again.

 

Bear in mind we only accept constructive criticism here and any clear flaming will be treated, as normal, with an infraction.

 

You guys can't honestly be that upset over a joke that was obviously a prank from the start.. I think you are all forgetting one thing:

I see nothing wrong with the staff having a little fun. I was banned in that perm ban thread, and I thought it was pretty funny. If anyone actually got upset over that then I think you need to re-evaluate your priorities in life.

I would like to formally apologize to all the staff being harassed by people who are crying about a few April fools jokes. I enjoyed the lulz, and I am sure others did too. Keep up the good work, all of you, and have a nice day.

 

At the end of the day its pretty simple, 99.9% of the time we remain as an active, strong and professional team that works around the clock making sure sythe is rid of scammers, phishers, advertisers and in general malicious users. We keep you guys up to date on the latest scams and exploits which can affect you and we've gone all out in various different ways to help you, with mass amount of stickies, guides, LiveHelp, Bugs & Suggestions console, etc.

The staff team as a whole react to your feedback throughout the year and we change ourselves accordingly, from changes in character to the way we enforce rules, all to bring fairness to the trading.

Only about 5% (if that) of the total amount of active users seem to have been upset or annoyed at this april fools joke, so lets just get over it.

 

Yeah, and only about 3% approve of it. The rest dont care. I gaurntee if you take a poll with the options being Approve or Disapprove of the joke, overwhelmingly will disapprove.

As to x339, Sythe himself hates trolls. Just saying.

 

I thought the whole thing was very immature to be honest. I can understand Alt's ban if that is what he really wanted; but punishing random people for posting in the SPAM forum? I can understand the intentions there but it it really shouldn't have happened. Instead you should have put up a bullshit announcement or something like that if you wanted to celebrate. Just my thoughts.

 

Have we even had one April Fools event where no one has complained about? It's just a bit of fun guys, calm down!

They were only banned for like 20 minutes, it's just a little joke. Why is there always people that take it too seriously?

 

Like I said, I was banned, knowing I would be banned after seeing the others banned, and I didn't care.

Also like I said, if you are upset about being banned from a website for 20 minutes you seriously need to rethink your priorities in life.
