[Denied] Discord spam or no?

Motivation: resolved & Attempting to trade while DNT

My personal interpretation on whatever I should been banned or not, is irrelevant and is not what I want to talk about. Just used as an example and a good case to compare it with imo. Also, I do not have any grudges against xkylee or Kanye or something

As xKylee says "Bro takes sythe discord seriously? Maybe it’s time to rename general to sarcasm and then have a serious channel." this was my literal interpretation of the Sythe Community Discord which can literally be seen in the report against me. Why was my offence taken so serious? It can be compared with my own report and you'll realise the difference is minor to none. Why would Kanye need evidence of someones own testimony of doing something bad? The testimonial of the individual is enough evidence. "you should know the rules better xkylee" (no offence against xkylee or Kanye, but staff need to get this shit straight). Like Chellbell has been saying, you have unwritten rules and it changes per person.

The fix is that xKylee either gets punished for his claims or you set certain rules needed to prevent shit like this. The report was unnecessary, but at the same time the judgement was unfair. Either make the discord more spam forums alike, just don't allow stuff that will ban the community server, but at the same time the things you claim in Sythe Community should not be evidence towards a report. I feel like it's a weird situation, but I'm defo down to hear people's opinions on this.

Solution 1. xKylee gets punished and everything remains the same. Just like me, he would be punished, I got punished and everyone else openly admitting, or attempting to break the rules would be punished.

Solution 2. Make the discord spam forums alike, and don't allow chat logs to be evidence towards a report, which let's just admit is not realistic.
Which solution are you leaning towards? Maybe a 3rd solution? I'm not Einstein

a simple serious channel and non serious channel in the discord would do the trick, that, or sythe discord becomes a straight shooter discord - not a talk shit discord like it currently is.

I also, did not break any rules joking around about the past duel arena shenanigans (that I was meming about, I never duel arena scammed anyone, I’m the victim here I fell for the guthans platebody brother), whereas you were actively trying to trade whilst dnt (no offence mr fox)

 

The rules are pretty defined in the Discord itself. I would ask a mod for clarification if you have questions regarding some of the things said / acted upon in the Discord.

 

There is a statute of limitations within the discord server. When I first joined our discord, it was a free for all. Someone reported the server, resulting in a ban/deletion, so we had to make a new one. If we opened the discord again, history would repeat itself, and we will have to create a new discord.

In your case, as @MAGZ mentioned, you were trying to trade while DNT - which is against the rules, so you should consult a staff member.

 

I understand. However the severity of it, and like Kyle said "its just the discord". At the time, I felt the same. The problem is more of Kanye's asking for evidence of xkylee scamming before. If the discord is serious, which has been cleared already that stuff can be used against you in there, then why was there need for proof of evidence, if the testimony of himself is already there?

 

If I told Kanye in his PMs that I just scammed 600M, would he need a screenshots? No, I would I get an extra appliance of my DNT by paying 600M to the victim or community payment, if they don't know who it is. Clearly, he wouldn't need proof of me doing it as you wouldn't openly saying something you've done which is bad, unless it's a confession. He wouldn't need proof then, no? The testimony of the individual itself should be sufficient evidence.

 

I think it is a matter of a NEW moderator (emphasis on NEW) trying to make a name for oneself and taking things too literally. This would all be cleared if Kanye privately messaged Kyle and asked him whether he was trolling. This would have stopped the witchhunt.

I also think the timing wasn't ideal because it was when the whole "Andy is Scammer" was happening. I think there is a time and place for everything.

Na, not really hahaha I was just trying to get the perspective on how and where it applies and what situations. I think after Juws sayings, it's been clear. Thank you for your concern though. I wouldn't want to display myself on a public suggestion thread purely for feedback on my report instead of PMing a Sythe staff.

You mention that this has gotten nothing to do with the verdict on your case yet you still proceed the thread by going on about it. If this is sincerely just a suggestion then it won’t have effect on either of the two rulings because they were already made. If you wish to dispute one of the rulings you should head to the dispute section or contact the staff members in question.

 

Yeah fair. It was more of a comparison as the DNT imo was fair, if other scenarios came up like that this. But I understand and accept my punishment.

 

For me at least, and this is with me trying not to be bias given my current report against the user this mentions and the previous history I have with said person.

When it comes to the "spam section" as people want to call it, it's either spam or it isn't. You cannot pick and choose when it suits you to be spam, in such cases let's use @Red Fox mentioning wanting a bond, he claimed he "forgot" or whatever as he is an ironman or so (if I remember right, havent gone back to the thread in a while) so this would be essentially classed as a troll comment as he is an obvious DNT rank which would mean he is breaking the rules otherwise.

He cannot access the market so there for he wouldn't be able to technically break the rules, and being that he was socialising beforehand with other people he calls friends it's not uncommon to have something slip out in the spare of the moment. Do I think he was right for asking for a bond? That's not my choice to make, but I wouldn't make such a big deal about things like that when there are even worse things going on in the world.

That being said, I understand the rules needing to be enforced at mostly all times if not all, you just need to remember that with that being said if it's spam forum as such then it's meant to be classed as spam until someone actually with given proof acts on something in the case they are essentially trying to break the rules or bypass them at the very least.
