    I support this for the trading server, I do not support this for the community server. If they are allowed to use the site with market restrictions, I believe they should be able to use the community server.

    The discord is always referred to as the spam discord.. people talk about scam quitting all the time in it (jokingly) as well as many other things that are against sythe rules.

    Keep it the way it is but enforce the rules for everyone not just 1 person. If people can get away with those things without repercussions, he shouldn’t have been banned.

    Really on the fence with this one so I’ll remain indecisive. Interesting suggestion though, but I also agree with @Pikachu. I guess @Yoshiki his alternative is best but it wouldn’t have mattered in the example you used for the suggestion. Which indeed was a silly mistake and even a worse ruling, though not an incorrect one.

    Hello,

    "Protect DNT people against themselves and protect the community against DNT users with malicious intent"
    1) This rarely happens and ultimately it's their responsibility.
    2) Despite many memes, Sythe Community and Sythe Observing server have a very high moderation level and people are quick to tag a staff member.

    Your suggestion doesn't differentiate between the two servers. Given that DNT users are not able to view any market channels in the Observing Server and that your motivation for this suggestion was a user attempting to trade in the Community Server, I will assume that this suggestion is about the Community Server.

    By Disallowing DNT's from being in the sythe discord server altogether (Thread title), you demotivate any DNT users to verify, because as "unverified", they are at least allowed to view the #news and the #trade-alert channel. Removing this ability is not desired neither by sythe staff, nor by DNT users.
    We could restrict DNT users to the same level we restrict unverified users, or just remove their ability to talk (read only), however, I don't see it being in line with the following philosophy / logic:


    In conclusion:     Completely disallowing DNT users from being able to communicate in discussion-related channels is not in line with our DNT philosophy and it's quite rare to see a DNT user attempting to trade inside those channels, while this restriction would affect all DNT users.

    In case this suggestion doesn't differentiate between the two servers and because of what some staff members posted, let me address the Observing Server; We could kindly ask Dev Zach (SytheBot dev), to "Disallow DNT's from being in the sythe discord server altogether", by automatically kicking verified users, if they are DNT on sythe, or even skip the bot and do it manually (by daily purge of DNT users). This would, however, demotivate DNT users to verify. They are not able to view market channels anyway and I can't recall a user attempting to trade directly in the Observing Server.

    Thank you for your suggestion, anyway. This one is just not viable, IMHO.

    My ban was within ruling. However, I personally see it as I was personally targeted for this as the discord is literally referred as a spam discord by almost anyone. We use racial slurs and what not, saying we gonna scam quit, saying he stole this, he stole that. Taking it as the discord is not a spam discord, people are probably out here deleting their past comments from this lol. As Chellbell said reinforce the rule for everyone. Not just one person, in this case unfortunately that was me.

    But I disagree too, I like hanging around on Sythe and while I believe it's a stupid ass ruling as you guys can see it was for a dollar and 50 cent, I guess rules is rules.

    Either way, I wanna make my way in again on the Sythe community and being in the discord is defo motivating to see what's going on and to chat with people. Being banned from the discord removes a majority of the socialisation and here in my case, the motivation to return again.

    Conclusion, I disagree as the community to chat on people with discord plays a part of returning to the community.
