[denied] Dedicated thread for impersonator UIDs

Instead of making a new topic every time, we would have a topic under RAS section where people could report them instead of always making a new post. They're really easy to spot and to prove, and would save a lot of hassle to mods.

Just make some ground rules, like post name + uid + screenshot with profile picture. Should be enough.

Right now, almost no1 report them because it's aids to be always filling up the templates

 

I support a "dedicated thread where imposter unique id's and usernames are posted along with other information, but I don't support NOT making a new topic everytime there is an imposter issue, since it should be handled like any other report in my opinion. But yes like stated in my first sentence it would be nice to have a thread of unique id's/etc posted.

But the main reason people don't report is that they don't want to go over a thread and all that stuff. This thread would be watched anyway, and reported by staff/members if something is wrong.

The thing is, once someone bans an imp from their server it's not their problem anymore, so they cba to post it

 

Same thing can be said about scam reports, someone might get scammed and not report it, ultimately it is their choice to post the report; and I don't think filling out what's posted in the bottom of this sentence is too difficult.

I do agree with you on the template thing, but scam reports are way different from imp reports, since most of the time no harm has been done, might take them a few different discord services. And if there was less bureaucracy for people to post, we could actually avoid some scams.

Maybe we could only let service providers report it on this thread

 

Imposters usually change pfp and name about their new person they imposter

i had a dario change name to slice pming me multiple times

just post UID and write its an imposter is fine in my opinion all on one thread

you can see if the numbers ever been written on Sythe and so you can find the individual with that UID

I support this.
Opening a report for every imposter could be tedious and time consuming.
However I do believe it would need to be monitored closely to ensure someone isn’t posting the real persons ID on it. The last thing any of us want is someone searching our ID and a non-intelligent person posted it on an imposter thread

We have a similar thread here for websites Websites/Discords to avoid! so I think it would make sense for UIDs as well

I'd say that having a thread with discord name + uid + related sythe account (if applicable) that gets updated whenever a successful report on an impostor gets archived. I'm not sure which thread it was but i think it's the thread with frauded/chargebacking paypal accounts. You can just lookup an e-mail in the Sythe search bar and if it shows up in that thread, you know that paypal e-mail is sketchy. Very effective and efficient in my opinion.

Nop, what I meant was to make a thread where we (providers) could easily post impostors uids without going all the way and make a new report post. Because if there's a topic where only staff can add uids, it's just a waste of time. Rather, use the search bar.

The idea is to make it easier for us to report uids. If someone is stupid enough and report the wrong uid, he will get caught by other providers or staff. And get an infraction I guess

What I meant is, providers can post them in the sticky thread and staff can update the main post with a full list of UIDS. There must be a check on posts to ensure no one is abusing it.

1) Sticky thread in RAS where users can post imposters/reasoning/proof
2) Staff checks
3) Staff updates the main sticky thread (Add UID to list of imposters)

 

Looks good to me! As long, it's easier for providers to report them without much hassle I'm up for it.

 

But please make it so we don't have to give a full testimony to report an UID.

Since what we're talking is about Providers doing it, and knowing this is for the best for all of us.
I don't see people trying to abuse it, even if someone tries to abuse, what's the worst it can get? It's not like it will get banned from all the providers automatically
