If your ip is white listed as 300$, make it so you don't need to type in your 2fa code

So, I had read this and typed up “Oh this is a good idea” but then I thought about my favorite excuse.

“My brother got on my Sythe account and scammed _____ for that amount”

That and the fact that “potentially” malicious individuals could gain some sort of remote access to the accounts.

It’s a good idea I’m sure there is a way to make it work maybe like a clause but that’s probably too much work as it is.

Well if that story is used then regardless the account owner needs to pay back the scammed funds.

 

This would work if the user doesn't have a dynamic IP, only uses one device (unless multiple would be allowed but that carries risks), and doesn't use their proxy/VPN address as their whitelisted address. IPs can also be spoofed but that sort of attack can't be used to login to a site afaik since spoofed packets can be sent but not received.

Generally I think it might be more work than it's worth, would this feature really convince people to donate $300+? Not sure
