Hi guys! I go by the name Goopy. This has been my alias for as long as I can remember for many different platforms and games that I play. I’ve been playing Runescape for about 15 years. This means I’ve dedicated my life to this game for more than 65% of my life. Isn’t that amazing (and sad)? In that time span, I maxed 3 different accounts, 2 on rs3 and 1 on osrs. I have little interest in the game nowadays, but I do play occasionally to get higher ranks. I’ve also created a HCIM which I play here and there. I want to dedicate my time to various things so I’m not completely bored at work. I’ve known about this website and sites like rune-server but never really took interest in it. I’m hoping to be active enough that I stick around and make an impact in any way that I can. I’m a positive person and I love to help others. I hope to cross paths with all of the community. Thank you for the opportunity to join you guys.

TWC Dispute - Goopy

Never been to a community that is this aggressive against new community users. I don’t think I will return once I’m financially stabilized, but I will see. Having to live in New York on your own isn’t easy. I wish you guys the best. I regret donating, but thankfully it was only $5 and not more.

 

Has nothing to do with being aggressive towards new people. It has to do with protecting the community as a whole. You claim not to be financially stable but yet donate to a website you've been a part of for 24 hours. If I was not financially stable I would be saving every penny that I had. Once you have a home IP you can get the TWC removed. Never the less welcome. We have a very solid community here and hope that you wish to stick around. Because a $5 donation is tantamount to a monthly $180 bill. Literally donated 36x less than a monthly cable subscription. $5 is less than an average meal for me and I eat 2-3 times a day. Questioning my support for this website and curiosity for donor perks is questionable in itself. This extreme action of accusal without any evidence other than a home IP just shows how much of a dystopian habitat this website is. If it is that big of a deal, couldn’t anyone just go to a relatives/friends home connect to the wifi and post from there? Doesn’t this get around the purpose of what is being done here? Don’t see how this would deter anyone other than members who have serious interest in building a brand here. Instead of playing cowboys and going after every other new member in assuming they have broken a rule before actually breaking it, this website would see more activity. No need to act like grand-gatekeepers as if there is an ultimate goal by actively decreasing activity that doesn’t negatively impact the website. Don’t assume everyone’s problems are just an excuse. I assure you there are people like me who go through real problems that affect them from being able to live up to the standard set by those who cannot relate. Not everyone has the benefit some of you guys have, especially during a global pandemic. I hope you have a blessed evening.

I just want to say, that a TWC is just a general warning to every user who is dealing with you, that you still hasn’t posted from your home ip. The only reason is, that there are a lot of scammers/ban evaders here who are using a proxy/vpn. It isn’t really something bad.
a home ip is something to link users to scammers, only mods can see the full IP. once an user is linked to someone who was banned on an home ip, he can get reported for ban evasion and be banned. he will be then liable for the scams too.

If you have nothing to hide, you can still do businesses here and get your TWC removed immediately once you’re stable again. until then just be patient and good luck.
