Banned on Discord

Hey there, has anyone ever been banned on Discord itself? (around 2 days ago i got banned from discord for breaking terms of service or guidelines or whatever..) Of course i appealed the ban and they just sent me a copy-paste message that it's investigated and the ban is final even though im certain i havent broken any rules. What is the next move? Do i just take it and create a new account (I mean i already did, for the time being) but yah, im not sure what to do cause i had like 3.6k Friends on that discord and several discord servers with 1000+ members on it, got a lot of ongoing orders as well and i assume people are now messaging me and im not able to reply to them

 

Jagex and discord are closing services provider servers right now, nothing you can do.. Make backup!

 

I've been relying on discord for years and oh boy, i think that was my biggest mistake i ever made.

Make sure to backup your server and contacts often and try going on other platforms like Telegram.

 

Account sales is actually against Discord TOS and they do ban for it often. Your best bet like Claire said is to move to Telegram.

 

Not a clue why someone would ever move to Telegram, or how you can even "backup" your "contacts" on Discord - so I doubt those advices are any useful. Backupping your Discord server however is possible, with bots like Xenon or Cloner. I'm not sure if your server gets deleted when your account gets disabled, but I assume you could be reinvited/made admin again when the server isn't deleted. Other than that I guess I'd ensure not to advertise your Discord ID, unique ID or server vanity URL incase you get banned/change it). Instead I'd move over to discord.io and make a custom URL there, which you can change at any time to any other.

Last but not least.. maybe not add people as friend on Discord? I've never really made much use of it anyways, I'd rather keep it to a minimum. Those who wish to contact me, can do so if we share mutual servers.

Servers owned usually get deleted and sometimes if the subject matter is against their TOS enough everyone in the server gets banned. People recommend Telegram due to the fact people can't get you banned for account sales among other things.

 

Discord has become a little too “Politically Correct” for the black market. Especially this one.

 

Tbh, telegram is fine but it's not "IN" - you know? Basically it's the same thing with bitcoin lol, i'd want to receive all my payments via bitcoin but sadly most of the buyers use PayPal as their payment method, i think the same logic applies to telegram vs discord
