[Denied] Hide the information on ban evader reports

No support, things should be transparent and it should be clear why someone was banned and the evidence that led to it. Years ago "private bans" were a thing but these days the staff would prefer things to be more transparent rather than the admins quietly removing someone from the site overnight and nobody knows why.

It's like banning me for ban evading and not showing me the evidence, what if the evidence was wrong? What if it's some silly plot to get rid of a user? Transparency is always helpful in these situations.

 

I support this, however i think there might be a small issue. Sometimes i find helpfull information on previous ban evader reports, to report a new ban evader.

Am not sure if you meant that in this sentence, since it was a described a little obscure.

But this is indeed really annoying, cause ban evaders know what not do to next time. Like this kid below.

Can we not had some kind of hidden tool rather than deleting the post?

 

Indecisive. On one hand I agree but on the other hand I highly doubt most ban evaders read the reports on them. Most of them either trollpost on it, or probably don't even read them. The ban evader reports I make however mostly contain the same information anyways. It's already quite obvious that when one of your older accounts is on your audit you're basically screwed, no matter what information is being provided. Unless Hahanerd handles it ofcourse, he even asks me to provide proof of reports I make on people asking if they are proxy camping.

 

Staff thoughts: @Laptop65 and @Wortel made good posts. Transparency is important, and we're not going to hide pertinent information or move back towards private reports. Thus this suggestion is denied, but consider it noted @Pikachu.

Personal thoughts: Also, for what it's worth, the info Wortel often provides is useful but we can usually tell whether people are evading a ban or not without it. I think changing our approach on these reports would actually catch very few incremental users.
