[Approved] Voice Channel And Donor Chat for Sythe Discord.

Would like a Seperate Voice Channel For discord locked to donors only.

 

I see no reason for these + the donor chat would be used for more advertising. No thank you, no support.

 

I guess a donor chat would be okay as a separate room aside from the spam lobby.

I don’t however see a need for another voice channel no one will use.

 

I think you misread his suggestion. I am not supporting and not not supporting this suggestion. It's easy to add but what are the benefits?

 

A good chunk of users who frequent the Discord are donors anyway, and it's not really necessary because not that many people really use voice + there isn't much reason to purposefully preclude non-donors from voice chat lol

I wouldn't mind seeing the donor chat as it stats in the actual title. It would take about 10 seconds to implement. But I don't think the voice part is necessary.

 

I can't see it being used to be honest, we already have the sub-forum which is moderately active.

 

A suggestion doesn't need to bring astronomical benefit for it to be implemented. This is a very low risk, moderate reward suggestion, so I'm not sure why there's so much hesitation. Maybe this won't make a difference to many users, but perhaps it will convince a few to donate, or make some current donors feel validated for their contribution (important for recurring donors). A new donor perk that takes little effort to be implemented doesn't sound bad to me.

I'm not so sure about the voice channel, but I support a separate chat for donors. Don't think it'll cause a huge uptick in activity for the discord or anything, but it could turn into a moderately active, niche place like the donor lounge is right now.

I doubt this would alienate new users any more than the donor lounge currently does, and just as donors don't spend the lionshare of their activity in the donor lounge, the same would probably go for this discord channel.

 

To be clear I suggested the Voice Channel for donors only so I can screen share without having to worry about banned players coming in into call.

Lol to Super's anti-andy. I personally agree in saying I don't really see this getting used for anything productive or meaningful, but the entire discord server we have now is sort of a meme anyway, so adding a voice/chat wouldn't hurt the server at all. Therefore I'll support it.

I'm not against nor in favor of this idea. I don't see much of a benefit for the text chat as the majority of the people in the discord are donors anyways - or atleast the ones participating. It might be another incentive for users to donate though, so it might be a good idea.
