House of the scorpion by Nancy Farmer.

 

The last books that I remember plowing through and being completely enchanted by were the Kingkiller Chronicle books by Pat Rothfuss. If you're in to fantasy and haven't read them, do yourself a favour and go do that.

 

Heavily into finance, so The Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Clason. A really good introductory book into finance in my book. (no pun intended)

 

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo. 5/5! Loved it.

 

"Ready Player One" by Ernest Cline

It's a really fun read, but the first chapter is a sleep fest in my opinion. But the rest is very fun and suspenseful. First time I read it I read all 800 pages in a week. And now I have read it about 6 times.

For sure an amazing read if you are into fiction and post apocalyptic worlds.

 

Personal Favorite was the Escape From Furnace series by Alexander Gordon Smith, or Percy Jackson and the Olympians.

I thought I replied to this already but apparently not, I am a big big reader and even, proudly, own a mini library myself full of history books and some other genres too
I am really fond of the book 'Matterhorn' , it's about the Vietnam war and the real deal, with a real story.
Worth the read!!

 

Harry potter series really..

 

harry potter always bring me to a happy place in my childhood. nowadays i only like to read books that make me learn and i can invest in myself and gain knowledge.

Modern man in search of a soul by Carl G Jung or Man's search for meaning by Victor Frankl were both very influential books in my life and introduced me to psychology and philosophy which awakened the spiritual antithesis of my rational nature.
