[Approved] Set some ruling on how many stats you can blur for account sales

As per the max main rental rules ([Section Rules] RuneScape Rentals & Other Services) you can blur out up to 5 stats (total level excluded). This isn't a rule yet for account sales, however I do proprose we set up some set of ruling for this. I haven't noticed this before but it seems alot of people are starting to blur out stats for account sales aswell now. Therefore I wish we put in a rule for account sales too, as there's no actually ruling here right now. Some people even get to the part where they blur out 75% of all the stats.

I think we should set similiar rules for account sales as we have for rentals.

Support, you should have enough info from stats to know if the account is worth buying.. blurring them makes it harder and longer to sell lol

 

Yeah support. I didn't blur any of my stats on my acc to begin with and I think blurring like most of them would just fuck with selling them. Also, scammers. Lol.

I support as well. I don't sell or buy a ton of accounts. But I agree there should be some sort of rule in place.

 

I agree that we should be more consistent. I'll see if we can get this done before the next big suggestions review.

 

Should already be a thing, it's most likely going to be ban evaders who cover up several stats in the hopes of not getting caught selling the same accounts.

Although I don’t think account sales are truly safe... This could make them a tad safer and better overall for the community.

 

Support will help see whos reselling accounts they shouldn't be / if its a blacklisted account,

However myself I've always blurred the last 2 rows in example here :

It allows me to remove 5 skills + the total level, and it's never affected sales either.

1 request though for us larger sellers is it possible to have the ones we have blurred at 5 out atm stay the same so we dont have to rebond all of our accounts and go through redoing 20-30 accounts? Would take hours and multiple IP swaps putting the accounts we already have listed for sale at risk.

No support, stats are blured so your accounts don't get targeted.(there hasn't been tons of cases but it does happen) What's the point in showing all stats of a maxed staker, when all you're advertising is max melee stats?. You should only have to show what you advertise.

I just don't want to see another scenario like odds staking, where every1 reports each other to the point no one makes money

This is already a thing for max main rentals. I didn't say you're not allowed to blur out a few. You really think that if you blur out like 5 stats Jagex is still able to figure out what your account is? I wanna bet there's a million results still after.

Oh and just so you know they already approve reports from me when there are barely any stats visible, so your proof would already not be considered valid.

 

It's not about jagex, it's about certain individuals that would want to get rid of competition (that could be you, me or anyone else) We all know how easy it is to get someone banned. As someone who moves big volume of account i'd never post real stats even if it was a rule, id just post an account with very similar ones and none of you will ever know (but that's just extra work for no reason)

No support. The only thing that should be required is for people to show what they are marketing (i.e. max cape, maxed main, pets, etc). People shouldnt be required to show stats or achievements they arent marketing.

If you want to protect people from getting banned I suggest you to start with the infernal cape section. The infernal cape sellers make screenshots in which they show the time of completion. Jagex can literally just CTRL+F the time of completion and ban the account in 1 minute lol. See the example below.

Exactly, i feel like people supporting this have 0 experience in the market
