Not sure why you think those are conflicting issues. I provided a premium service, much better than the majority of the free MM's I saw hence I charged fees.

 

Quality work yes? You think you are the only capable guy of providing such things? The OMM badge did not mean shit and it have not done so in a long time. Only thing it was useful for was promoting and benefiting the OMM’s business. Azie scammed despite of his mighty badge, while @Pegasus is an excellent MM and he returned 1 btc (fairly trustworthy). No progress in his OMM app yet? There r people just as if not more worthy of a funrank and OMM’s who got their rank handed out a decade ago should be rewarded one for exactly what reason?
Step down off ur high horse and come to the realization that OMM have not served the community in nearly a decade, hence they r imo not worthy of a fun rank.

 

Can you imagine completing the OMM application competing with OMMs who didn't charge any fees?
There were few OMM apps voted every year, it'd be simply unreal to get required trades if OMMs didnt charge anything.
Also in my services 3% fee was already too big for miscelanious trades and in most of cases I didnt MM anything else than account trades for $5, so "charging high fees" sounds like a joke here, I can bet other MMs have smiliar experience.

The underlying issue of this request is you provide no reason for this other than a you want a badge of honour for your rigorous efforts to submit multiple valid OMM applications before finally being accepted 7 years ago.

You say this is a spit in your face for all your hard work, but what about all the active sythe users who didn't get their applications accepted who are arguably most trustworthy and active being pushed aside as the rank didn't allow for anyone to join for years. This funrank would in fact be spitting in their face giving ex OMM's the fun rank.

Apart from application you have to pass two votings.
1) Voting in OMM lounge where OMMs have to check your proofs and elaborate to their vote.
2) Voting in upper staff lounge where any admin can veto the entire voting.

But if the OMM rank was forced retired technically they’re not Ex-OMM’s they’re fired MM’s. “Ex” would be someone who quit themselves. However, this was forced...So it’d be fired.

 

Don't think there was anything wrong with a OMM useing his rank in their title to attract customers.

New people join the site, donate a few hundred dollars and put that in their thread title to attract customers, big donations = trust ?

Just making the customer feel safer, like these donor's donating more to look more trusted to attract more customers.

I do believe there should be some sort of Thank You gesture, whether that be a fun-rank or not.
They also already got a special minirank, so that's atleast something.
However, I see people say that because it was such a hard thing to obtain it's a spit in their face and therefor somewhat entitled to a bigger thank you, like a fun rank.
I disagree on that part..
People knew that it was hard to get, nobody forced you to go after it, I understand it is an achievement and something to be proud of when obtained, and it should be.
But in the end didn't people go for OMM to HELP the community, prevent scams and in general provide a safe trade envoirment for users?

That in itself should be the biggest reward imo, the fact they helped people prevent getting scammed and create a safer marketplace.

 

Retired would be a better word, if they were booted off as an OMM due to bad conduct then that's different, but losing the rank due to it being retired when you did nothing wrong I would say is unfair to those who took the time and trades to earn it. Your application did have be reviewed and so on years ago, it wasn't just a case of making certain trades and automatically gaining the rank.

 

3 OMM’s didnt follow safe trading guidelines and lost their rank because someone ended up being scammed. What purpose did u serve really? You guys are demanding a fun rank and Tyler even comparing OMM to mod lol. Getting stripped of the rank must suck I get it, but at the end of the day u guys served no purpose, why r u suggesting otherwise?

 

as you said, 3 omms didnt follow safe trading guidelines and they have been immediately removed, that's their fault and their responsibility. Others who did follow safe trading guidelines still lost their ranks without doing anything wrong. Getting stripped of rank is not the entire problem, the entire problem is this rank and status of OMM took a year in best case scenario to get and all that work dissapeared completely, if it was that simple to get noone would give a single fuck about it, but the process of becoming OMM was extremely hard and the specific funrank was proof we achieved it.
Did you complete even single OMM app to know how hard it was?

 

Without reading over everything again, I fully agree with @Hex ...

it was majorly outdated, and pretty much used as a bargain chip to gain fees when there are equally if not more established free regular middlemen.

I again do also agree with the thing with @Bogdan , I mean isn't the "angelic" sign for people who have passed? Last time I checked, that's a spit in the face to them as well unless there is a purpose we don't know for him receiving such.

Not here to crusade against all the white knights who think it's unfair that the rank was stripped, but at the same time if the stuff wasn't handled how it needed to be which shown so far it wasn't, then it's a positive it's gone there is no "premium" or "regular" way to middleman.

 

1) The rank helped expand your own business for a decade, what more does it owe u rofl?
2) There were no guarantees the tank would be permanent
3) None of you did anything note worthy for the community.
4) The «retired omm» funrank would be a badge of trust and defeat the purpose of the initial removal.

Why becoming an OMM would disqualify you from having your own services?
We discussed few pages ago, idk if you noticed it but we crossed the "ex omm" idea completely. This suggestion is now at "random funrank" as a good gesture stage.
BTW you are huge hipocryte, you are using your own donor rank in thread titles to make your offer more trustworthy, but if OMM were including in title the fact they were OMMs then people like you whined about it in this discussion thread.

 

No support. I think a rank like that is basically a infinite and perpetual OMM rank. They took away the rank for a reason, why would they now hand out a more OP rank(one you don't have to maintain)? That's silly.

So this argument is with the original decision to remove the rank. Which I think was the correct decision.

 

This and only this. Every regular MM and OMM should feel great about having prevented people from losing money. In the end, that’s what it’s all about.
