Allthough similar to "[DENIED]Ban advertising other services in another service thread." Im suggesting something differant.

What I'm suggesting is to not allowing advertising outside of the section you are posting in.

A few examples of this would be

An advertisement I found in the WOW section

An ad found in the donation section

An ad found in 07 gold selling

In the previous suggestion it was mentioned how some users might be looking for other services from someone they have used previously, while that's all fine and dandy if someone is browsing a section such as wow classic gold or donation services, why are they possibly being redirected to ironman buying threads or osrs account upgrade threads.

If someone wants to look for a service in runescape why are advertisements for games they don't own being shown to them?

If you want to advertise your account upgrade services or account sales, you can do so in your signature without shoving useless redirects and massive thread layout designs in users faces for something outside of that section.

TL;DR, If you want to advertise your threads do so in the appropriate sections, don't advertise outside the appropriate section. (You can do so in your signature not your thread.)

 

Support, this gets annoying and defeats the purpose of sections. Enforce it or remove sections altogether.

This is an entirely different suggestion as that one was just about any advertising outside that thread, where my suggestion is focused on the section its self, I fully understand if someone is allowed to advertise their ironman starter builds in an 07 account service thread because, Hey you know i can save money just buying an account from the same person who was going to train it why not.

But if i'm browsing the CS:GO section, your escape from tarkov, 07 buy and sell massive sale threads are just a pain in the ass to look at and entirely unrelated to the subject at hand. As well as any new user who is interested in purchasing a new skin is likely going to just up and purchase an of your other services is slim to none.

I disagree because if i'm browsing for an xbox on amazon the chance of the seller advertising they fact that they also sell a nintendo switch isn't going to suddenly make me aware that I also want a nintendo switch.

This is just 100% wrong as what im posting are custom images and not keyword text searches that would bring more traffic to the site, its useless spam advertisement that should be in your signature instead of your thread. (If you can show proof that these useless spam ads in unrelated sections generate clicks il retract this statement, but I still stand by my statement made below.)

If you wish to post all those advertisements in your signature that's where they belong.

 

Just report those threads and we'll tell the users to stop spamming their RS crap in non-RS forums if it's not part of an AIO offering.

If ads are part of an AIO offering, ABM explained why we're letting those stick around, though personally I'd prefer everything separated out.

 

Agree w Poat and Super here, it may create more market presence in certain communities that would be underwhelming, but it is also a huge clutter for the majority of us that just want to see the content pertaining to the thread that we are going into.

I'm pissed on for having so many threads, and cant have different things in the same sections so have to find new places, why shouldn't others.

Get new GFX or don’t use them at all.

 

I would definitely support this being enforced when it comes to advertising your other services for other games. For instance having your osrs services listed in your wow classic services (not shitting on anyone, just a mere example). If it's the same game I don't think it's a problem as we have AIO services so it makes sense for them to advertise it in the thread + it's easier to order one graphic that encompasses everything you do for said game.
