what is the punishment for buying osrs gold?

Is it a perm ban or temporary?

 

The only rwt bans I’ve seen were permanent.

 

If you get hit with a RWT for buying/selling GP then it's going to be permanent.

Permanent. But just be careful who you buy gold from. Heavily traded accounts are more likely to get hit.

 

You're most likely not going to get banned for it.. As Jagex stated almost 60% of their playerbase buys gold lol

 

You might get temp but you can appeal and just say you will never do it again lol

 

Jagex find your address and will come to your house to tell your parents.

Yeah, it's a permanent ban. I recently got permanently banned. And it was a small transaction too. I believe the seller was flagged.

 

Its all RNG as to whether or not you get caught. If the seller is flagged, you'll be banned and its almost always a perm ban. They've hinted that they've got a new detection software coming in the future.

Most of the time if you interact with a RWT'er the accounts associated with it are chain banned. If you do get it unbanned the gold is usually gone as well.

 

Put private off at all times and do not talk ingame.. At one point i had this dumb ass chinese who sent me a pm telling me to not be fooled of the scammers claiming to be them.. Because of that message i got permanently banned and i didnt even reply back..
