Contrary to certain person tho, I gamble only what I can afford to lose for fun at the end of the week, compare to ppl are indebted and dice other people's money -.-

 

Thats still bad bro i used to go to casino daily here in holland i did what your doing 2 what i could afford to lose but after a while u think like fuck it lets do a high stake and then bam u lose that shit and u feenfuckedup do more bets to make it back and eventually be broke bc of betting / gambling

 

I had a really bad gambling problem (and still fight those demons all the time).
I'm lucky enough to have never gambled myself into oblivion, but when I have spare play money, I would usually end up at the casino.
At the end of the day, you have to be stronger. You have to tell yourself it's dumb, and remind yourself of the times you lost a bunch of money and how you felt afterwards.

I also find that gambling really desensitizes you to money. Like when I was playing a lot of poker, tens of thousands of dollars meant nothing to me. Nowadays it's odd to get a paycheck from work for like 1/4 of what I could make in one hand of poker. You have to retrain yourself to see money in a realistic and human way. It will take time. It will be hard. Be strong and you'll be fine.

 

I see what you mean, it is still a big problem. You will regret all the lost money in a few years. You seem really young and i think you should save money for later or if you are a spender, simply spend it on something, just do not lose it for nothing...

Really depends on the reason why you’re making this thread. Is it because it’s becoming a problem or because you figure others think it’s a problem? Either way your question here is if it’s a problem; meaning you consider it a possibility to become a problem.

 

I think it's a problem. Although you may be able to afford the addiction, it hurts you mentally. You're chasing that dopamine rush that's released in the moment leading up to a potential win.

I would say that sometimes the problem is not the money you lose, because the money comes and goes. The real problem is the time you invest in it and how that takes you away from what is really important to you, like your family or your personal goals. You invest hours and hours in search of winning ... but it is more the sense of self-realization and fictional happiness that it produces in you. I used to work in a casino was the girl on the chips.. and at the end of the day I saw the same faces daily ... You end up making friends with everyone and it was always the same story people looking for the company of others. We all have addictions, some more destructive than others. Live life but don't let it consume you.

Casual gamblers who gamble only what they can afford to lose aren’t a problem imo. It’s harder than it sounds to do that though in practice, especially when you can get tilted easily. It’s easy to go over budget and that’s why I think it’s best not to gamble at all, it’s not worth the risk. There are other fun things to do, right?

It might not be a problem right now, but when you look at it from the perspective that it could become one (as well as slowly losing you money) it’s best avoided.

It's never a problem as long as you're up
