An important announcement and an update to the antiscam

There are many benefits to being in the discord but one of the most important ones is being able to get trade alerts. We put these out regularly so users stay safe but obviously if you aren't in the discord you won't get these alerts!

Speaking of trade alerts,

As you may have heard, we were able to antiscam a mass scammer/ban evader for quite a bit of money

Bezos (Away) $2000+ Antiscam

This money will be going to active previous victims of his, the rest will be allocated to community repayment (About $1600 to be paid out direct to victims, $400 to community repayment). Unfortunately we had a number of victims who got scammed after we had banned bezos and put out a trade alert saying not to trade him. We have a requirement for sythe reports to be valid, a sythe pm is necessary, and that is in part to prevent scams like this from happening. For that reason, these victims are not eligible for repayment from the recent antiscam funds. They will instead be eligible for community repayment in 2 months' time, this is out of fairness to other victims of bezos and victims of unrelated scammers.

Special shout-out to @RSGM Sales for his assistance in performing the anti-scam! It is rare that we are able to anti-scam a scammer for this much and return it to their victims, this is truly a fortunate occurrence.

One very useful thing about being on sythe's discord is that you can easily verify an impostor's Discord ID, looking for the user within the discord members, but it is also more important to verify through sythe.

Thank god you aren't just refunding anyone with a "valid" report. For all we know, Away could just be on an alt and self reporting himself. Or others are just forging it too, as they know there is a pot of $ waiting for them.
