A bit about Charloava

I just thought I'd give a little bit of information about me, my goals on Sythe and my intentions whilst being here.

Firstly, what a cool site, I stumbled across Sythe googling a website I could buy some SpawnPK gold from, which I successfully did, I then did some searching on Sythe and stumbled across the personal support section.

My background in personal support;
I am currently a Pastoral Manager in a secondary school, I also teach the ASDAN project (which is currently depleting nationally, this will soon become a life-skills project). A Pastoral Manager is a "Head of year" so to speak, that isn't a full-time teacher and has timetable space to offer full support to students and families to engage them and remove barriers to learning. I am one of a team of 12 people in one of the most deprived area's of England working as part of a pastoral team, I also credit myself with being the youngest pastoral manager in the midlands - this expired last year as our apprentice aged 23 joined us.

I have 3 children, aged 7, 6 & 3 - I was denied access to my children for a year which triggered a run of major depression and anxiety, a gruelling court battle (divorce) granted me access to my children with a 60:40 agreement - which gives me an (almost) fair say in my children's lives. Sadly, the damage was already done and in April last year I made an attempt on my own life, which resulted in me requiring several operations. I then developed Sepsis in June 2018 as a result of my neglect and disregard to my own mental and physical health. Thankfully, my illness only left me with mental scars as apposed to physical and I have since done a lot of soul searching.

I have since devoted a lot of my spare time to my facebook page that shares men's experiences with battles to see their children, I'm proud to say that we have smashed the 10k mark of strong, independent, willing and able fathers who want and deserve to see their children.

After seeing the personal support section on Sythe and vigorously reading the stickies and posts from users I realised I could offer something new to the community, a stickie which outlined Social Media Support Resources for men and women going through struggle (divorce, etc.). This suggestion was approved and we implemented the stickie a day ago. I also have a thread in personal support which offers Man to Man support. which can be accessible to anyone who may need it.

People have asked me in the past if I'm blinkered to male-only support, my answer is my own experiences have shaped me, harmed me BUT I still have belief that not all people are the same, hence my digging into women-only support pages for our thread to make it inclusive.

I hope this ramble isn't over the top - I just wanted to give you some background on me and my views.
