That was not a bright aspect of Champ's earlier staff career that's for sure lol. Yikes. That is brutal for MMORPG. If I'd of seen that case I'd of caused hell over it for sure. Lets just pretend that one never happened >.>.

When you implement things, you should really explain the principle behind it and what you want your vision to look like in practice more clearly. 2 years later and no one knew that and were operating under a different premise

 

It’s not like he was falsely imprisoned for 48 hours? A payment was late from a reputable source. Businesses make these kind of clerical and administrative mistakes often. If you have ever shopped anywhere, had a cable bill, had to deal with healthcare or the DMV, you know what I mean. They can’t be perfect, thats an impossible standard. He’s operated well for a long time with very little complaints.

 

Support, provided they dont get their debt reduced by their winnings. No one should get a free pass at paying back their debts. A crime is still a crime. A scam still a scam.

 

Support, it should always be equal. It wouldn't be fair if some people get special treatments. Bumb

 

Well you ought to know if it is a more severe version of a TWC, a TWC is frequently used as a punishment for poor trading practices such as bad PMs. I’m not sure if that is what you envision a TWC to be?

 

100% agree with @Ex

When people start getting slack and unable to send payments on time, they automatically gain a sense of immunity once they get away with it. It's poor trading practice, full stop.

@Sythe Of course DNT is a punishment. If they get a DNT because they haven't paid someone, they can easily lose out on a lot of sales and business for those 48 hours. It's also a complete safety precaution. Do you have any idea how much money R2pleasant could scam within a 48+ hour timeframe? Of course nobody thinks he will run with JUST $400, but what if there are 20 people just like OP who haven't made threads and are just patiently waiting for their money/gold? Then think about all the people who will just blindly continue to deal? Thousands and thousands could be amounted.

Do you give them DNT when TWO people make threads like OP? When it's possibly already too late? Be safe rather than sorry. I'm extremely disappointed seeing this thread and I've always seen Sythe as the single-most trusted and safe site for dealing. This changes that.

Also, I am in no way implying R2pleasant is a scammer. I'm using his name as an example to state the principle.

 

Dude, I seriously don't see how you can say TWC/DNT aren't punishments. I 110% would not deal with a user with a DNT. I hate to be the guy linking dictionary definitions, but they are undoubtedly a punishment, whether you want to obscure it away from that or not.

How can you sit there and say someone who gets applied with a DNT/TWC, who will lose clients which EQUALS money (which is the exact same monetary punishment as EXTRA INTEREST ON A DEBT) isn't a punishment? Like WHAT?



Edit: I'm going to reiterate, maybe YOU apply it as a caution and a warning, but it ultimately results in a punishment. Whether you apply it as a warning through sheer negligence or not, it's a punishment. Surely you can see that. It comes down to the result, not the intention. Your intention is to warn, the result is they are punished.
