[APPROVED/REVIEW] More Fun-ranks Suggestion

so if i won an event i could get your secret asian man fun rank?

if you cant make your own, then the winners should be able to pick which one of the current ones they get.

 

That wouldnt make sense for themed fun ranks like halloween for example.

 

The same people participate in cdt events week in week out as a whole they don’t appeal to the vast majority of sythe. In theory games are fun to play, picture contests are fun to flick through and watching buyacc complain every week was humorous but the numbers just aren’t there, this doesn’t interest the majority of the community.
The last event for a funrank was what play an event each week win the majority and get the competition winner funrank? People don’t have the time, patience or motivation to put in the work those that do are a very small minority. I posted my suggestion in Matthews overview of the next user centre, yes funranks should have a sense of exclusivity about them, but it’s getting boring now and people simply don’t have the time.
This post isn’t intended as a dig towards the cdt you guys put in work, just my overall feeling about the current system.

 

what/when was the last themed fun rank event?

i think if staff are able to get custom ones, so should the public, even if its extremely hard to get.

 

Very few staff have custom ranks made for them. (Exception being chloes coolcat rank being a girl cat) People who get funranks are generally the ones who make the rank.

Maybe your saying they get the selection of which fun rank theyd like, in which case thats fine in my opinion, they voulenteer hours to the website and if they go above and beyond they get a fun rank for it.

 

Mod's Should set up something so members can earn miniranks/fun-Ranks, Mods always say there really busy and i am sure members can do some stuff what mods can do without having any power.

 

I would prefer to keep these limited. I like having 1-2 of them rewarded during CDT events during each year, as I feel the exclusiveness helps maintain the drive to have one. For example, the 'Competition winner' was given recently to those who competed for a year straight in their respective competitions. Basically my stance would be to keep it the way it is.

 

yea i understand where you are coming from, But awarding a Competition winner because they have competed for a year straight isn't winning It is just taken part, Where i personally think people like @Time Crunch Derseve something because he helps keep the community safe with reporting ban evaders + Scamming even though he can be a right dick, How is that not right to award him something? It gives people an incentive to help Mods out when they don't have the time to look for those people thereselfs.

 

We already have the "Detective mini-rank" although it's not a fun-rank. But I appreciate your kind words even though I'm a self proclaimed dick

Fun ranks are ancient, which is why they are "fun ranks" and gives them a value.
