How safe is buying one Runescape account?

If we were to exclude that the seller recover the account, lets say we purchased from legit and genuine seller that has 0 intention to scam us

For Jagex side, what's the chance of getting ban for buying an account?
Does logging with Different IP, Different Country IP and also Different MAC address or etc causes higher chance of banning or etc?

Chances of being banned are slim.
Chances of account being recovered back, well there's no way to tell.
I would never buy an account - I would condone of buying user services to level my own though.

As other’s have mentioned, it’s an extremely minute chance of a ban ensuing after an acc purchase.
Jagex allows people to share acc’s these days, so because of that, IP switches are a huge red flag anymore

 

Ive heard that a certain someone who builds mass stakers has a high ban rate. Like oce its bought, rwt ban the next day, without even touching it. Idk how true it is, but quite a few said it lol

 

Accounts are ALWAYS recoverable, find a person with a lot to lose and a lot of reputation if you're going to buy an account, if unable to do that for the account build you are looking for then have someone service an account for you it's safer but might cost a little more.

I've heard of this happening with Chinese Sellers.

I think usually an account gets locked if there's a sudden country change, but you can simply unlock it with the current registered email

 

chances of being banned is slim. it might get locked from the change of ips tho. the big concern is people recovering it,

 

If you gonna buy an account from someone random it will be recovered 100%

Jagex wise - if they ever banned bought accounts then amount of them can be counted on fingers of one hand

 

if you buy off someone who sells accounts for a living . you can trust it like 95%

 

Like everyone else said, majority of accounts get recovered but the more someone has at risk the least likely they are to recover. I think its safer to buy an account in your local area like Craiglist, and ask the person to send you a picture of them holding their ID, as well as a piece of paper that says "I am selling my runescape account which is a digital good and will not attempt to recover it as that would be against the digital goods consume act 1976..." blah blah blah. Not sure if it actually admissible in a court of law but it can scare the hell out of someone not to recover you.
