[Food] McDonald's - Bacon Smokehouse Burger Review

So this burger is out but it isn't even on menus yet and I'm pretty sure I'm the only one ordering this thing judging by the confusion I had (I ordered it 3 times already, just to review. You'll see why.). Walmart McD's don't seem to have it yet.

There is a lot going on with this burger, so I needed to try it 2 times just to make sure I had everything right. A specific ingredient was throwing me off and I didn't know what to think about it.

We'll start from the bottom up.

Bun: Artisan buns. High sugar I believe, high calories. Good. McD's best bun imo.

Smoky Bacon-Onion Sauce: One of the best parts of this sandwich, this is quite a delicious and unique sauce. It is a chunky sauce and you can see all the bits of pork in it. The taste is like a bbq shredded pork (Google "shredded pork frozen"). I happen to love it and it is basically another layer of meat.

Beef: Fresh, not frozen beef. Delicious, but unfortunately the flavor gets lost in this fiesta of ingredients. Fantastic when you can taste it.

White Cheddar: It is cheese.. some people I showed a pic to happen to think otherwise.

Bacon: Delicious and cooked crispy!

Onion Strips: Says in-house fried but that isn't really a selling point... would be weird if they weren't fried. Fantastic fast food onion strips. McD would be silly not to sell actual onion rings based on these. They're second in taste to Jack-in-the-Box's new Panko Onion rings, but they're dang good.

Mild Sweet Mustard Sauce: This is a mustard sauce, not mustard. There's a huge difference, and the difference is that this is disgusting. I think a tangy mustard would be much better on this burger, and quite frankly I think this tastes like some sort of cereal. I want to say Froot Loops. It is a really odd taste when you get a lot of it and can taste it.

Low 5/5 - The only downside to this is the mustard sauce. Get actual mustard, and this would be a 5/5.

I'd definitely get this burger again. McDonald's has been stepping their game up, and I believe people should give them another shot.

I mean... that's pretty much what cheese is.

 

Widely available .

Also, it honestly tastes much better than it used to in states. I technically have a ton of international snack food / sodas I could post though... I dunno!

I mean I guess I sort of couldddddddddddd... but then you guys would be envious of not being able to go there.

Well I mean I already did America with McD, Hawaii with Poke, India with curry.. but not a bad idea. I'd have to look into this and actually order interesting stuff... I got beef jerky at a Thai place.. not much to talk about there lol.
