PUBG looks weird

Recently I started playing quite a bit of PUBG and I do like the game, though just like on anyone else's PC it's extremely heavy. While that isn't something I can change, I'm fairly sure the issue I have right now should be able to be changed.

Here's a few screenshots of how my game looks like:







As you can see to me the dark spots are too dark, the light spots are too light. The textures of buildings and rails etc look edgy and blurry even though anti alias is set to Ultra. Screenscale is set to 120 so things do look more detailed though this was recently changed and is not the cause of the issue.

My launch options are: -USEALLAVAILABLECORES -malloc=system -sm4

I did mess with NVIDIA Control Panel settings too, though tried to reset them yesterday. Not sure if that properly worked.



Digital Vibrance is on 100% in the Desktop Color Settings because I do like the warm colors in games, though the ones I have in PUBG are way too much.

Any help here or is this just how the game looks for everyone?

 

The game started to look bad to me as well after alot of the recent updates. You may want to give reshade a try, it fixed my lighting issues:



You can also set power managment mode in NVIDIA settings to performance or quality so the game can run a little easier.

 

I play in ultra however, i have used a video like the one above to improve my gameplay as ultra isnt always good to use when you are trying to differentiate a bush from a player lol.

Well I've heard stories about ReShade making your FPS drop by like 20 which is not exactly what I need with my PC.

 

Glad other people see it too. I think since the update the game looks like garbage, that among other update related changed is the reason I quit playing. Think it was much better before the update.

 

Apart from the rubber banding at the start of the game nothing much changed right? (Apart from some interface fonts and sound of vehicles)

 

Which update?

 

Few new gun changes. New map. Graphical change. Style of buildings is much different, for the worse imo, lot more buildings with less inside. Terrain is bumpy af, cant really go offroad without flipping easily. Etc etc


If they made it an option to only play the old map I'd still play the game. Basically I hate everything to do with the new map. Also don't like the new graphics, think it looks worse but w/e
