Ripple price prediction for June 2018

June 2018? I'm thinking this will do what litecoin did. It'll hit coinbase, and go up exponentially. Last night alone it hit $2.70 from like $1.45 that morning. I'm thinking $20-23 per coin in june. I hope i'm wrong and it's 10x that

 

How would it ever be that high, with 50 billion coins in circulation???

My prediction still remains at $7-8 in 2018 with long-term projections of $20-30 (capped).

 

It will drop to like 1.20$

My honest prediction? $4ish

I think nearly all of the market is over price. Probably close to 90% of the market is overvalued, and even if a specific coin isn't (I don't think Ripple is undervalued), the overall market will raise its price, but not because of its tech (don't get me wrong, it's interesting, but read on). The number i quoted above is a price I think ripple will be near once the market starts to become more rational. I have never seen such a confused, overpriced, and divided market in some time.

However, I do think overall 2018 is going to be a huge year in crypto, but I think the day where Ripple replaces SWIFT is something that won't happen for quite a long time.

This is most likely calculated for transactions of Exchange-to-Exchange. That isn't real adoption IMO
That being said, I do think most of its price rise in the past 24 hours was due to a lot of wave riding.

I think the overall market is overvalued so I think that price increases like this are a lot different then they were say 2 years ago. Lots of new investors and dumb money flooding into the market and with such a low cost bring a lot of "oh looks its super cheap and rising". That's not to say there is genuine reasons to get into Ripple however. Most of the market doesn't really give a damn what company goes where in the next 5-10 years. This is a money making market


Honestly, I don't like it that much more than the current FIAT Petrodollar mess of a Financial system we in the U.S. and the U.K have. Since 1971 the U.S. has been off the gold standard :/ .. But at least companies like Ripple are trying to create alternatives, but remember who its biggest investors are (Big bankers)

I am not saying XRP is over-valued, but rather the whole market is (in the short term). Long Term ripple will succeed, but we need to remember that in order to really replace the current international banking situation you must replace SWIFT, which people are drastically underestimate.

 

I think all alt-coins will be tied to each other and especially Bitcoin for at least 2018. Therefore, when predicting the price of a single coin such as Ripple, you really need to step back, look at the bigger picture and assess the whole market.

Ripple will most probably succeed if crypto as a whole does.

Having said this, i'm bullish on Ripple but bearish on Crypto. It'll be a tough battle imo.

Let's assume that the price of XRP on 1 January 2021 will be at least $10. Let's also assume that, because this is a risky investment, we'll demand venture capital-esque returns, so r = 0.4 (40% return required).

We simply discount $10 to the value at 1 June 2018 if we required a 40% return: 10/(1+0.4)^(945/365.25) = $4.18. Allow for 20% volatility either way gets you a value of around $3.35 to $5.02 for XRP on 1 June 2018.

If you applied this model, and discounted back today, you would get a PV of $3.63. Allowing for 20% volatility gets you value of around $2.91 to $4.37 for XRP today. We got pretty close to the lower threshold the other day. I'd argue that as time goes on, people will understand XRP more, and so that will be reflected in its demand and subsequent price.

So, $5 seems pretty justifiable on a conservative estimate- I think XRP in 1 January 2021 will be worth more than $10.
