Increase the punishment for leaking a member of sythe's personal information

Support, would like to see it increased to perm bans for home addresses / phone numbers etc which can put a person in physical danger as well.

 

Personal information should be private and people who post it know what they are doing. There's no reason to post it other than to cause problems for someone.

So I support that this warrants a perm regardless of the user's status who's information is shown and regardless of the status/reputation of the person who did it

 

Personally think that both staff and regular users should have the same ban length for the same offence. Going by that logic, if you leak a staff member or a regular member's personal information it should also have the same ban length/punishment.

You mind posting your address on here then some potential pyscho can come attack you? Or at the very least get you SWATted or have pizza deliveries rolling to your door. You see no problem with people posting other's personal info so you should be fine to post your own for us.

 

I don't actively want my address posted here but if it was then all I'd want is the post deleted and the user infracted. An infraction is a heavy burden for a soul to bear. A ban should ONLY be used in the most hideous of circumstances.

When I receive an infraction, not only do I immediately cease the actions that led to that heinous warning but I make sure that such actions are never done again as long as I live. A well-placed infraction can lead a man to deep introspective thinking that ultimately changes one's behaviors and ensures such actions are never again done by that person.

 

You must be a rare specimen then, people who do this kind of stuff usually already have 50 other infractions and they don't care about that

Anyway I think doxing is pretty serious. I don't think anyone deserves to be doxed and I think we should enforce as harsh a penalty as @Sythe will allow.

 

What does this have to do with anything? It's pretty common to see this not just on Sythe, but in today's society in general. Just because I haven't been around Sythe forever doesn't mean I'm clueless about concurring issues like this that happen on the internet on a daily basis.

 

Eh I already read people don't go with this opinion but I'll state it anyway.

1 month isn't gonna do shit of course 6 months atleast gets people who have something to lose something to think about before they post your personal info. 1 month is like a vacation where acc sellers can just stock up. 6 months really hits them in the gut tho. But then again they could just change there name and go to another site.


The part no one agrees about but I say fuck it. If someone has a scam amount of over like say 3-5b I say give out a name or a number. Grand larceny is like what ? 500-1000$ in most states ? If your blatantly scamming for up to 10x the legal limit you deserve to have some skinny rs twat light a bag of shit on fire on your doorstep. As for harm ? Shit let them, let them get arrested for assault. If there willing to drive x amount of miles and beat you up there's something mentally wrong with them and they can get bent over by bubba in jail to make up for there actions. They threw a rock though your window ? Doushe move but hey atleast they got 3-5 thousand bucks worth of rs gold to fix it and maybe they'll stick up a cctv camera and the next time it happens another doushe gets arrested.

I think the intent behind the leakage of personal information plays a part in the punishment as well. If a user doesn't mean to leak and just forgets to block out part of the user's information in a screenshot, a 1 month warning ban is more than suitable for them to learn their lesson and have them double check to make sure they blocked out everything the next time they take a screenie.

If the intent of leaking personal information is clearly malicious, 1 month is far too short.

 

so you get someone hacked and only 1 month ban man, i think hacking SYTHE users, so if theyre banned this what i say doesnt go over them but the non banned users if u dox them u should get permanent ban of Sythe who will be permanent and same with staff

Support. Should not be taken lightly with a slap on the wrist. It is a major issue and must be fixed.
